If I can't pick up a Nvidia card by the weekend, then AMD gets my business. Nvidia screwed up big time.

Lot's of people say that.  You should take the time to see how many people regret that exact decision.. It's actually impressive how many threads you can find from people that came back within a few weeks.

That's probably why. They think that saying "If I can't get the card I want when I want it, I'm not doing business with EVGA" will be perceived as a serious problem by EVGA when countless others will be happy to take their place. Then when they realize it doesn't work, they quietly come back and act as if they never said any of that. It's quite amusing, really.

I have personally used AMD CPUs, and ATI GPUs. Only reason I use Nvidia is because I discovered EVGA when I upgraded to a 9800 GX2 and really liked EVGA's customer service.
I have had bad experiences with other companies who took months to send me my hardware back, and sent it back broken, and then called me a liar.
If EVGA did AMD GPUs too, I absolutely would buy it, especially now. I'm a fan of EVGA, but I am not a fan of Nvidia. I chose my words wisely and left no room for misinterpretation.
I can't say I speak for everybody that buys AMD, but don't make generalisations.

lol you're right diftow, I feel confidence with evga, i never use AMD, only for all of my cousins build
i don't know why evga is short on demand this time. On the other hand,  msi 1080 and 1070 gaming x is in stock of Frys and microcenter already

It's Nvidia's fault, and it isn't the only issue I've had with Nvidia.

1. Charging people $50 for a license for "3D Play" on a $500 GPU. Just extortion right there.

2. Terrible drivers. Their drivers for Windows 10 were broken long after the official release had begun. And prior to Windows 10, I've experienced issues with games that were driver related as well, countless times. It wasn't the games either, it was Nvidia drivers. My old BFG 7300 GT was a great card, until I updated it to newer Nvidia drivers. Nvidia turned that card from working, to defective.
I'm old enough to remember a time where it was hard to come by driver updates. You had to install via physical media. Somehow companies managed to deliver products that worked without being able to provide bug fixes anytime anywhere. Now we have fast internet and automatic drive installation, and it's worse?

Nvidia is a powerful giant in bed with an even bigger giant (Intel). They are not some amazing company, they just get all the profit to fund the majority of GPUs on the market.
Would be nice to see companies like EVGA sell other GPUs. I'd like to see more than just AMD and Nvidia as well.

what a shame for Nvidia, I wondering if they'd test their driver before release, I can see that they just keep release their drivers update, never feel that a gpu need the update that many.
Just hope evga available stock soon to finish my build, that's the only part i'm waiting

Any evidence to back this up? I actually think Nvidia and Intel are going to be in ever increasing competition with each other.

To those that say we don't deserve anything, we deserved nvidia not announcing you can buy these cards today may 27th .. when they had no cards, and still don't have any cards.

If anyone would like to book a trip to Jupiter I'm selling tickets right now, boarding starts next week only $1000 a ticket.

You have to be fair in that it is a new node process.  Otherwise, yes.

Completely forgot about the node change this time around.  It's good to see that it takes two of these to beat a single Titan X.. I would think that would mean they require greater stocks for sure.

Looks a little embarrassing to see that it takes 480 crossfire (2x) to beat a single 1080. Does crossfire run just as good as SLI? I don't know much about the technical support on AMD side...
I should add that I couldn't help but notice the amount of fanbois that were "excite to see 'crossfire beating a single 1080'"
