I think it has more to do with being powerful, than being truly innovative. Any company could do the same with the power & money. I'm not impressed.

i think im gonna have to leave this thread for a few days to gain back my sanity.....im just gonna wait now, and if i end up waiting so long that the hybrid comes out by then......then by then i will just get the hybrid

I've been wanting the Hybrid since the beginning. However my 970 died 2 weeks ago, so now I'm open to SC/FTW editions. But having same issue as you (never fast enough). It does seem Hybrid will be announced/released by the time FTW stock comes in, however Hybrid will then most likely be in the same spot with no availability for months

Im in the same boat as you.  ordered 1080 ftw amazon may 31st and can get no answers. watching people get them on newegg with no preorder is pretty frustrating

Yeah, they keep sending out false alarms. Ruined my sleep for nothing.

Well we have no choice. I'm not going to sit there and refresh a page all day. If I wanted the card THAT bad, I'd just buy from a scalper, get the founders edition, or do the 90 day step up from another card. Sitting there watching a page all day is reminiscent of that South Park episode where Cartman plays WoW and craps in a bedpan.
