This is very easy to do, when all you are doing is relabeling the previous R9 cards... AGAIN... For the third time. 

You have to be fair in that it is a new node process.  Otherwise, yes.

Yeah they said that to me at first too, eventually some manager person took my case specifically to try and help make it right apparently? Idk if its based on me being extra nice, or having a sales back ground being good on the phone, or talking with them on twitter for a while.  But regardless worked and hopefully next day free shipping will get it to me sat!  Newegg is da bomb!

I feel like I deserve something for all this waiting. Like many others I off loaded my gaming cards and have been in withdrawal.

No, you don't.  You chose to sell off your cards before having new ones so that you made as much as you could.  I don't like the delays either, but no one deserves anything.  And I'm not pointing a finger at you directly, but at this mentality in general.  It is running rampant.

Im in the same boat as you.  ordered 1080 ftw amazon may 31st and can get no answers. watching people get them on newegg with no preorder is pretty frustrating

I also ordered a 1080 FTW from Amazon on 5/31 and just got an email from them with a stock update.
It asked if I was willing to accept the new ship date of 7/30 (2 months delay!!!) and if I didn't log in and approve (which doesn't work on their app btw, they would be canceling my order)

That happens automatically with Amazon pre-orders that last 30 days.  It could ship tomorrow for all anyone knows.

You really should be thanking them for actually shipping cards out in the us. There is currently 1 shipment on its way to europe. 1 shipment for the entirety to europe.

I miss the days before the internet. walk in brick and mortar store... walk out with Atari 2600. None of this pre-order selling crap delays of limited stocks.

 
There were plenty of limited stock items, scalping, etc in those days too.  You just had to show up at JC Penny or Montgomery Ward before they opened (on the days some teenager working there told you they might get stock) and fight thru a herd of people like it was Black Friday.  Scalpers used ads in the local paper. 
 
Only the technology has changed.

Well in my case it was a GTX 680 (the "s" on cards was a typo) and a relative's card died so I gave it to them. I went back to a GTX 280... poorly driving a 43" 4k monitor (at 1080).
As for the wait, it was a pre-order. I knew there would be a wait. I was expecting ~2 weeks based on Jacob's early posts. I didn't realize that non evga.com customers were second class citizens.
I'll keep waiting for now.

Good to hear. I hate to get my hopes up though.

I thought I scored a 1080 SC from NCIXUS.  It said "In Stock" via live update.   Today I received an email saying it was back-ordered with no ETA.  I just told them to refund me since they gave false info at order.  This info is just to save anyone else the same trouble as me. Good luck guys.
