BHPhoto CSR told me this morning, based on EVGA quantities expected next week, my 1080 FTW order will not be fulfilled.  I ordered on June 4, a few minutes after they re-opened for business on Saturday.  They do not have any timeframe due to lack of shipment and allocation information.  I mentioned the pre-orders started on Friday and continued throughout the weekend... can they tell me my place in line based on my order#?  I expected and got the "no" response.  They did mention they had over a 100 orders.  100? 200? 300?

Amazon's pre-order was hours...  BHPhoto's were days.  It took a couple shipments to fulfill EVGA pre-orders throughout the week.  Based on information about shipments in the US and non-US commitments, you do the math...

Almost snagged a MSI gaming X today, made the order confirmation email and CC pre-auth email from Chase, then BHPhoto gave the processing error email... insufficient stock..   It's the same for everyone...

Agreed. I had my card on my shopping cart at evga.com, and by the time I logged into paypal to pay, it was already sold out?? I took less than a minute to do that (literally). I think they listed the cards "in-stock" when they weren't, or they only had 1, or 2 cards in stock. Funny thing is, if I added it to my cart, wouldn't it at least give me the chance to pay for it before someone else snatched it from me (if that's what happened of course). Something else is going on, both Evga and Nvidia are being shady about it.

The other "speculation" is that while they showed they were in stock, customers ordered so fast that EVGA literally had no chance to fix the page showing them "out of stock". Speculations are everywhere, I know...

This is just a thought. You can do what you want with it....
The Volta series card is already in design, and is supposed to be released some time 2018. It may not be a bad idea to just grab 2 980TIs (on sale), call it a day, and then wait for Volta. Volta is supposed to kill Pascal.

Yup. They need to man up and give us some information. "It will take 1,2,3 months" I don't care anymore, just some truthful info. We're being played around by both vendors and manufactures.

Whatever the case may be with web point of sale and insufficient stock, it's not like a retail store where you are holding the product in hand before paying... it's first to complete the CC pre-auth transaction while the item is in your cart.  Systems should take the lowest order# that completes the CC pre-auth transaction.  If some orders sneaks past the quantity in-stock during the transaction period, it should get voided soon after.  In my case, it was a few minutes before I got the follow-up email.  Probably a bunch of us got into the "twilight zone", then got pulled back to reality.

I just got out of a chat with a Newegg Customer Service Agent. My order (placed 6/28 at 4:26pm PST with rush processing) will ship tomorrow. The agent assured me that the rush shipping increased the priority of my order, so I didn't request a refund on that fee.

As long as it does ship tomorrow as stated, I can live with that. So it doesn't appear I have to wait until Friday, at least.
