so... my order of my FTW last night on newegg still says in packaging... wonder if this is because they actually have nothing to ship me.  Can my order be in packaging if nothings there to package? lol

Newegg is doing a bi-annual inventory check.  They believe they have notified everyone affected, but I certainly didn't get a notice.  If your order didn't ship yesterday then it won't ship until inventory is complete on Friday.  Welcome to 1990 systems and business practices.
 
They had no problems collecting the payments for these items, including their stupid "rush processing" fees.

holy moley... I didnt get notified at all so maybe im in the clear? lol jk doubt it. dangit now im so screwed.  It is def not going to make it in time for the rest of my build being completed.  I cant believe people paid rushed processing and 1-2 day shipping yet couldnt gain any benefit because of them doing bi annual inventory check.  Of all times of year they should have waited until after this GPU mess is over. or at least settled down. 

Yeah I didn't get notified, and some FTW from yesterday definitely shipped.  I called and they gave me that info, but acted like I should already know.

 
I just got off the phone with the Premier help desk for Newegg. They said that ALL of the cards are still being inventoried and none will start shipping until tomorrow. They even issued me a refunded on my overnight charge because of the delay. Its still shipping overnight so if it invoices tomorrow mine will come in Friday, otherwise not till Tuesday.

well i just woke up... had an instock alert sometime while asleep,  checked the site its still on notify so might as well not even gotten an alert since they cant keep the buy button lit up.

Their customer service has told multiple people July 14, which seems insane if EVGA has sent them cards by something other than pony express.

thats a bad idea since no one really knows if everyone is gonna be good after that, or if you will be able to get something before then

Yeah I wouldn't cancel anything just yet.  It's quite possible that Amazon just took a zillion preorders and doesn't want to set expectations too high since people don't have a clue where they are in the queue.  
 
I also don't trust Amazon and queues, as frequently people that ordered things later receive them first.  It might have to do with proximity to the proper warehouses, or simple dysfunction.  There was a rare game they took too many preorders, and when stock started to arrive they sold new copies to new orders before filling preorders.  They simply make a new SKU for the same item and acted like it was something different.

Jakob.. You've just Said that resellers Break the Price for these gtx Models.. On Amazon i can preorder it on EU for 1500€ .. That means ~1700 Dollar .. ???

What do you think about that ?

I just got this lovely email, some insult added to injury so to speak.

tldr; Sorry we still don't have stock even though Newegg keeps popping out batches, but here are some scalpers you can buy the card from for $900.00+. Buy them instead.

I ordered yesterday, and mine has been in "Packaging" status all day. I don't know if that means I'm waiting until tomorrow/Friday, or what. I'm just going to be patient and assume that they would have notified me if there was a delay.  
 
I'll be asking for my "rush shipping" fee back, at minimum, if it doesn't go out the door today.
 
EVGA, y u no have more direct pre-orders. My buying experiences with you have been flawless.
