Well, if someone cares to explain, where these preorders came from?
EU site had only 1080FE available, since 1080 announcement i saw 0(zero) auto notify emails about availability of non fe 1080 models.
Is there other way of preordering 1080 card from EU evga site or what?

There was a brief period of a few hours at the end of may that they had the FTW (and the SC i guess?) on preorder, i haven't seen it come back since then.
I'm guessing cause the EU site probably doesn't do preorders very often and sticks more to regular stock orders

Well I hadn't seen much about it, but apparently Newegg's annual inventory check is going on.  A bunch of the orders placed yesterday shipped, but mine didn't.  They're saying it now won't ship till 7/1 due to their internal stuff going on.  That's a bit maddening, but oh well par for the course with these cards (though it's not directly related).

They were up to preorder on May 27th, after that it was on and off for brief periods of time the following days of May, then a couple more during June that lasted only seconds I guess. These I know. Thats more than enough time for a lot of preorders !

so... my order of my FTW last night on newegg still says in packaging... wonder if this is because they actually have nothing to ship me.  Can my order be in packaging if nothings there to package? lol

well, ive added all 1080 models to auto notify in a day of their appearance on product list (EU site)
i double checked mail moment ago and found only 1 product notify message from supporteu@evga with 1080 acx3.0 sc link, it was 20th june.
some kind of magic happened then

Have an update now on Europe, sorry for the delay in reply but wanted to ensure that we had the most accurate dates possible. Any comments previous to this were the best estimate at the time, but we have some more solid arrival dates now, especially since the shipment is now in transit.

Cards are on the way to our Europe location now, as mentioned previously, first priority will be the EU EVGA.com preorders which should process by next Thursday. About the same time, stock will arrive at Retail/Etail, just as Ben mentioned in the above post.

If anything changes from this we will post here.

Oh finally THANK YOU for this informations!! Ok so first eu.evga preorder and retailers. I have 2 preorder 1 on evga and 1 on retailers. I hope almost one of them will be shipped.

Newegg is doing a bi-annual inventory check.  They believe they have notified everyone affected, but I certainly didn't get a notice.  If your order didn't ship yesterday then it won't ship until inventory is complete on Friday.  Welcome to 1990 systems and business practices.
 
They had no problems collecting the payments for these items, including their stupid "rush processing" fees.

Newegg is doing a bi-annual inventory check.  They believe they have notified everyone affected, but I certainly didn't get a notice.  If your order didn't ship yesterday then it won't ship until inventory is complete on Friday.  Welcome to 1990 systems and business practices.

holy moley... I didnt get notified at all so maybe im in the clear? lol jk doubt it. dangit now im so screwed.  It is def not going to make it in time for the rest of my build being completed.  I cant believe people paid rushed processing and 1-2 day shipping yet couldnt gain any benefit because of them doing bi annual inventory check.  Of all times of year they should have waited until after this GPU mess is over. or at least settled down.

Yeah I didn't get notified, and some FTW from yesterday definitely shipped.  I called and they gave me that info, but acted like I should already know.
