What I find very odd is that stock for other brands seems to have improved except EVGA.  EVGA has stuck with Nvidia as a sole partner, where the likes of MSI, Asus and others have been selling AMD products as well.  Why would Nvidia stiff EVGA?  Other than the fact that every other partner has jacked up the price of their products.  Makes no sense to bite the hand of the partner who has stuck by you through thick and thin....

True. Then again, most card makers only do 1-3 variants of a GTX 1080, and 1 GTX 1070 model, sometimes more. EVGA makes 6-8 variants, so all the chips they get are spread out over all those variants, which have to go to multiple places. So say they get 15 GTX 1080 chips from NVIDIA, they have divide those 15 chips between their 8 variants.

The number of variants can be a reason to this situation but i don't think that this is the main reason !

Sure there are 8 Gtx 1080 variants from Evga but only 4 Gtx 1070 variants and only 2 Gtx 1060 variants . Still Gtx 1070 availability is not much better than Gtx 1080 .
The most surprising is that Gtx 1060 availability is the worst of all of them when at the same time is the card with the smaller number of variants . Also Gtx 1060 is arguably going to be the best seller so why it is the less available ???

I really can't understand why Evga is the only brand in this situation ?
Something is clearly going wrong on Evga's side and this is unfortunate because they will loose allot of loyal customers on this generation .
