Those one slots are unicorns, aren't they? Ah well I will have my Nvidia one on Monday. As pretty as the evga one is, I can't see it where the Computer sits so I grabbed the Nvidia one.

Yep, nvidia counts the total number of slots involved, EVGA counts only the blank slots between the cards.
