I'm wondering how this compares to the LED SLI bridge 2.0 for 980s, lower speed, same, better, totally incompatible? I know I won't get the full speed on a GPU without a 10 series card, but was wondering if it'd be usable in the mean time til GTX 1080s come in stock.

It will be the same speed.

Will anyone else be stocking these? Or maybe an ETA as to when the 1 slot ones will be back in stock?

I'm somewhat confused on the spacing I would use on an EVGA X79 Dark. The 16x slots are positioned a space from each other, but looking the SLI bridges, it looks as if it would fall short if I chose 1 slot space.

Looks nice...  However, already got my nvidia HB bridge...  Wish these would have come out sooner.

confused on the spacing here I hope I ordered the right one I have a sound card sitting in between my gtx 1080's 2x so I think pci ex slot 1 and pci ex slot 3 is where my cards are sitting the 2 slot bridge  is the one I would purchase right and do the older evga pro sli v2 bridges run at the same speed as these new HB bridges ?

Most important question: When can we in EU order these new Evga sli bridges ? I need one, take my €!!!! ;)
