Thanks.  1-slot.  Sorry, these are very old from my fan parts bin.  You can search Newark, Mouser, or Digikey for centrifugal blower style 12v.  Can't remember, but these were <30dB and are quiet.  Main purpose to to direct focused air since SLI will generate some heat.  I bought the nice $40 lighted HB bridge and didn't want to butcher the look too much.  I think MSI has an older style bridge w/ a bracket for a fan above their cards.  I think this would work well with FE cards.  May not work as well with ACX cooling or water and block the purty lighted logos.  I would buy that over that over the "L" power adapter or both  ;)
 
EVGA, How about a HB bridge with an attachable fan with programmable LED so you can create messages or pictures?  The ultimate HB bridge solution or case accessory.

Did the stars line up just right that you were able to get your hands on that 1 slot hb bridge? Did you get it directly from evga since Newegg and Amazon don't seem to stock the 1 slot versions. With my luck I will find a second 1080 and won't be able to use it because I don't have an Sli bridge.

Got lucky.  Day I picked up my 2nd FTW,  tweeted Jacob.  Signed up for auto-notify and next day, had limited stock.  Almost bought the nVidia HB, but luckily I waited for EVGA.  Plus, nVidia wanted +$40 shipping so I said screw them.  Abouit to sign up for 1070 step-up and shipping said $71 FedEx.  My FTW from EVGA shipped at $34 2nd day.  Step-up shipping for FE is screwed up.  I just may try the step-up for a FE and check out the OC and temps.  If decent, I may sell my FTWs and go with EVGA FEs.  Stupid lights don't match and ACX in SLI puts out some heat in the case.

Any word on new stock? =D

After you added to squirrel fans, what temps did you land up getting and what was your fan curve like when your top card landed up running in the mid 80s?  Also, does moving the monitor cables to the bottom card reduce heat on the top card?

100% GPU fan during stress tests for both.  I wanted to see temps with all fans(AIO/case/GPU) at 100%.  900D has high and low pressure areas so I brute forced it.  Dump a lot of cool air in and direct it toward the GPUs fan supply.  I feel the warm air from the rear fan and perforated holes on the back.  It hit in the 80s with all 1440p monitors plugged into Slot 1 GPU1 with Max 3D and surround gaming at 7680x1440.  I moved all the monitors to slot 3 GPU2 and added the blower fans together.  FWIW, moving to 2nd card helps temps, but you lose BIOS access.  I used my DVI on my primary mon and switch inputs during boot for BIOS access.  I did things so quickly after I got the HB bridge that it was probably a combo of things that increased and decreased temps.  Scientific methodology and baseline references went out the window when...  holy $h!+, it's in stock and tracking the shipment to my house.

If it doesn't say HB in the title, then you will only use one finger for data on each card, not 2 as the HB bridge does. If you have a 1000 series card there's no reason to spend money on the old style bridge. See the EVGA SLI bridge page in their store.

Anyone else here with an SLI HB Bridge confirm that you get very strange VRAM readings from Precision X OC 6.0.4? I didn't take a screenshot but while I was testing the system noticed the precision would read some 4+ million Mb of VRAM usage which is obviously a bug, didn't happen with my ribbon bridge though. The good news is though, coming from a single ribbon cable the increase in performance is noticeable with scaling increased significantly and frametimes much more consistent. This is at 4K60Hz.

I monitor my osd very closely and I haven't noticed any unusual reading such as yours , but I can also confirm a major improvement in framerates and performance overall with the Hb bridge
