So it would appears the HB bridge only works on 16x16?

I thought it worked independently from the PCI lanes and it's a direct connection?

I thought so too, but these are the results I got. Looks like there are no benefits at 8x/8x.

hey guys have any one tried this bridge with the EK-FC1080 GTX? does it fit?

It should I am currently using the 2/3way EVGA SLI bridge which is the same size on my EK FC 1080s and it fits just fine.
Now just waiting until the HB 0 slotted come back in to stock haha

because it hasn't been released yet.  They initially stated early July, but they are still waiting on the bridges to release them.

I tweeted to EVGA's JacobF, he said they should get them in next week.

Are there any difference other than looks between the Nvidia HB bridge and EVGA's? My Nvidia bridge arrived earlier than my 1080s did and it's just sitting there.

Ok, I have two 980ti Hybrids bridged with a EVGA Pro SLI Bridge 2-Way (100-2W-0021-LR).
Getting two 1080 FTW with the intention of Surround with (3) 4K screens.
Would I need a better bridge ?

After reading all the pages in this thread I have come to the conclusion "yes" a HB bridge will be needed...

Thanks anyway...

One thing i've noticed when testing bridges is that when the elastic bridge is connecting 2x 1080's, in the nvidia control panel it gives the message 'using a high bandwidth SLI bridge would improve performance.' Or words to that effect. Then when you put a HB bridge in the machine, that message is gone. But the interesting part is, i have this EVGA bridge also: http://cdn.overclock.net/b/bb/500x1000px-LL-bbba247d_ProSli.jpeg. The EVGA pro SLI bridge 3-way (the one on the right in the picture). Its not a HB SLI bridge but because it connects both SLI sockets on each of the 2 1080's, the nvidia control panel sees it as a HB bridge and doesn't show the message telling me to put in a better one.

I've tried benchmarking both the HB SLI bridge and the EVGA LED 3-way SLI bridge and both are yielding very very similar results - only a few points discrepancy in Firestrike Ultra between them.

is there some possibility that this bridge will improve performance even on a GTX980 Ti SLI?
I'm using the old EVGA Led Bridge, should I upgrade to this one with a GTX980 Ti SLI?
