One thing i've noticed when testing bridges is that when the elastic bridge is connecting 2x 1080's, in the nvidia control panel it gives the message 'using a high bandwidth SLI bridge would improve performance.' Or words to that effect. Then when you put a HB bridge in the machine, that message is gone. But the interesting part is, i have this EVGA bridge also:
http://cdn.overclock.net/b/bb/500x1000px-LL-bbba247d_ProSli.jpeg. The EVGA pro SLI bridge 3-way (the one on the right in the picture). Its not a HB SLI bridge but because it connects both SLI sockets on each of the 2 1080's, the nvidia control panel sees it as a HB bridge and doesn't show the message telling me to put in a better one.
I've tried benchmarking both the HB SLI bridge and the EVGA LED 3-way SLI bridge and both are yielding very very similar results - only a few points discrepancy in Firestrike Ultra between them.
