550K isnt bad at all, granted it is only a single work unit being processed but still an interesting number.

The 10 series on laptops are equivalent to desktop this time round. Slight differences in clock rate, but the shader cores are almost identical. They aren't "M" branded anymore.

Still Laptops get to Hot and this users shows a GP104M in his Client Software and  Sager NP8157 (7700HQ / GTX1070m)
I am not saying you cannot Fold on a Laptop only that I do not.

I am saying that the laptop variants have similar performance to the desktop counterparts. The number of Cuda cores.may be slightly different, but the clock speeds were adjusted to compensate. I believe either the 1080 or 1070 was technically faster than the desktop part in theory. You can read the press coverage of the announcement to verify. They are supposed to perform similar by 10x0 going forward. Of course thermal management will definitely limit you on a laptop.

You can pickup a fan on amazon that sucks the air out the laptop and keeps it pretty cool actually. Granted you want a dust minimal environment as you are creating one hell of a negative pressurized case.

I used it on my 740M until I realized 20,000 PPD is slightly inefficient...

Take a look at the current gaming laptops with 1080s in them. Some of them are pretty thick to make room for a vapor chamber cooler for the GPU. One ASUS system has a docking setup for water cooling.

Do you have a passkey? You not only seem to not be getting bonus points but you may have one gpu doing the work for all 3 units. Check your cards temps and power usage to make sure they are all doing work.
