Thanks for all your time in trying to help me guys. I'm an idiot. I found out what my problem was. When I installed the graphics card and plugged back in the cpu power connector it must of hit the cpu fan connector unplugging it. I didn't catch that the first time in my hardware monitor since I went straight to checking the graphics card.

Glad you figured it out. Most of us have had those moments. :)

I once couldn't figure out why my system wouldn't boot. Turned out I didn't connect the 4pin CPU power. I hadn't updated my system in a while and didn't even realize it had to be connected. That's what I got for not comprehending the manual.

You should probably test the CPU to see if there is any damage to it... Wait, you said it was the CPU fan connector that was unplugged or the power connector for the CPU?

It was the cpu fan. I'll run prime95 after work tomorrow.

I had a similar issue, after about 45min games crashed with a black screen and all fans spinning at max rev. I switched the setting from performance to temperature priority in EVGA Precision X OC software and it solved the issue.

just finished flashing new primary bios and secondary bios(fan curve) to 1080 FTW, Tomb raider still crashing out with no display and fans running full speed on primary bios, have to push reset :(

i've not tried running it with the new second bios atm as i am in "limbo" with "Awaiting Shipment" of Thermal Pads,

i'm not one that suffers from caution but i'll be wanting them pads attached asap
