A clean install might not be a bad idea, but it is something I would like to put off for at least a couple more months. I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. I also have around 2 terabytes of stuff, the majority being games that I'll have to set a weekend aside to set everything back up.

Remember that you only have a few more days for that Free Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7!
Remember to remove all your Hard Drives and leave Only the OS Boot Drive in your computer if you reinstall Windows 7 then upgrade it to Windows 10!

I upgraded a few months ago. For those that don't know, if you upgrade you can roll back to Windows 7 but after 30 days it will delete you Windows 7 backup and your key is associated with Windows 10. The free upgrade ends July 29th. I'm a gamer at heart so I went ahead and upgraded so I can have DirectX 12.

Do a fresh clean install of Windows. It will erase your problems, wiping the drivers clean wont do much.

That is an unacceptable "fix".
Changing a gpu should not result in a necessary clean install of a whole OS. That's beyond ridiculous..

Ok, so lets see your suggestions then. Just a fyi for the many members experiencing the crash in games, I discovered my crashing of Doom lately: game freezing, black screen, sound playing in the back, pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete to comeback to desktop being unresponsive, was the cause of letting Windows Update install the new drivers in my machine over the old ones.
After I carefully read everything in my control panel and date of the apps installed, i noticed that the display drivers date of installation didn't match with the 3D Drivers and Vulcan Run time libraries date. Which brings my point to perform a fresh clean install of windows due to the fact that the OP, on his own words, already stated that he wiped clean the drivers? If that was the case, then why the crashes still exist?  In my opinion, you either reinstall the games again, or just simply reinstall windows. If not, I'll go grab the popcorn so i can wait for your marvelous reply.

I've done a complete wipe of the graphics drivers and installed them fresh.

How did you go about doing this?

Revo Uninstaller. After uninstalling it also searches for any traces of any type left over to delete as well.

Do #1 & #2 listed here then go test your games. Report back with your results.

I unfortunately have to get up super early for work. I'll try this after work tomorrow. Thanks.

Because you have had issues in the past, just not as bad... It sounds like the issue is elsewhere. Never clean install, it is NEVER the answer. I don't care what anyone says, I have always fixed my issues without a clean install.

That may be so, but some people are not that lucky, nor are they "chrisdglong". Some people, unfortunately, resort to redoing windows because it does "fix" them. I'll agree with your statement, however, when it comes to some crazy BSODs or some very bad viruses which lead you to not be able to boot into windows (go figure) require a clean install (some viruses will cause most of all anti-viruses to fail).

Virus, absolutely wipe the drive.
