I'm pretty bummed right now. I've been looking forward to this case coming out for a while now. But unfortunately due to some money issues I'm going to have to cancel my pre-order. Can't wait to see them start to ship and the builds all of you do in them.

sorry to hear that! :(

hopefully they ship pretty soon, I'm moving my triple Titan X sli build into this case. it'll be on air for a bit, until I get around to finally doing the rigid tubing for the loop thats going in (bending, scary)

TITAN X 3Way SLI will look sick inside DG-87.
I'm really glad because all EVGA hardware will get new home and customers could bought in same time with PSU.
I always looked to PSU and case are elegant and long term investment.
I hope this is only beginning and EVGA will present one case every year.

Thanks Sourmonkey, nice find.

I wouldn't say that review wasn't favourable, they gave it a Hexus recommended award at the end and really only pointed out a few issues and they did stress several times that they reviewed a pre-production unit.

One issue they brought up was the GPU airflow but they didn't mention anything about the GPU airflow channel slider, did they use it? correctly for their SLI setup? and how much will that affect the temperatures?

The noise issue is a worry though, from the article "review sample struggled to soak-up vibration and had a tendency to rattle" doesn't sound good and I hope that's fixed before retail and some dampening is added.

Thanks again.

Hmm, Looks like I will have a use for my leftover dynamat and ensolite foam.. Guess I'll be adding a layer anywhere I can before I even install parts.

How well do the noise reduction foams work? I generally read that they don't really help much with pc cases. I would think the front plastic panel would be the weak point noise wise and it'd be a shame to cover it up. That's why I use the Noctua DH15 and 140mm Noctua fans.

There are a lot of good fans for DG-87... If EVGA fans are OK they could stay but if I need to choose custom fans I will check first with software...
Depend what is better 3pin or 4pin fans...
Noiseblocker Blacksilent Pro 140mm PK-3 1700RPM 3pin
Noiseblocker Blacksilent Pro 140mm PK-PS 1500RPM 4pin is probably great option.
They fit best with case.

Here is Noctua Redux 140mm 1500RPM

The Redux aren't as good as the regular Noctua fans. They are a budget line without the antivibration pads in the corners. That being said, the one review to cover the fan controller reported it as a DC or 3pin fan controller. They didn't mention the number of channels though.

if its not a 4pin PWM i'll replace it. 4pin PWM fans are the only way to go imho.

EDIT: i think they are 4 pin as they show them here

All my fans are 4 pin now.  I am always looking for true PWM fan controllers, but so far only the higher end motherboards have them built in and most expansion bay fan controller are DC only and use PWM fans in a DC only mode.

OK than Noiseblocker Blacksilent PRO 140mm 4pin(PWM) 1500RPM.

Plastic parts for holding cables behind motherboard tray are so good option.
And sleeved cables... Only need EVGA 1000 T2 and EVGA Black Sleeve.

This case is nicer than my Obsidian 650D.
Special because it's never with innovations and far better options for cooling.
