Most newer cases omit the 3 optical drive slots. Just the way it goes these days. I know I hardly ever use mine these days unless doing a Linux install, which can go to usb if needed.

Since the shipping cost isn't known yet I'm wondering if we can redo our order with regards to EVGA bucks once the actual order date arrives.

No there are no drive bays in this chassis.

I was so tempted until I read this... A case of this size should have a slot for a DVD drive.
 
I don't wanna spend that much and have to dangle out a USB drive when I wanna burn/read a CD/DVD/Blu-ray.

Really ?  I mean how often do you use a dvd drive... ?
I looked at myself and saw that i use mine about 2-3 times a year.
I have about 8-10 usb drives.. more than enough for anything i want to do.
Then i decided, i could make something for those that prefer an optical drive.
I would like to have a blu ray burner now that im a father.. to put home movies on.
So i will create something.. and it might be for sale.
 
Still this is one of the most unique cases out there, with plenty of room for just about anything...mod or no mod.

do we have the info on clearance top and front? 25mm fan -- 40mm rad -- 25mm fan? thicker rads possible?

I expect to see some nice full tower build in new EVGA DG-8 Case.
Special from people people who choose motherboards as Rampage V, Rampage 10 Edition,
Godlike, Classified, OC Formula, Maximus Extreme, Classified and FTW-Killer with two EVGA Hydro Copper or two EVGA Hybrids.

Like i said in previous posts.. stay tuned for something, about 30 days after release(or when i get mine).

Apologies if this was asked already but what does it mean the fan controller is software on DG-86?  I can connect the motherboard to control the fans?  I just ordered a 2nd one and wondering if I should change that to DG-87 instead if it's not what I think it is.

Is it still the same targeted shipping dates or has that changed?  I have most of the parts for my daughter's build and the case will be the last piece to wait for I think.

So apparently some review cases have been shipped "early July", so they should be touching down about now.
Id love to hear some hands-on experiences now that I still have that cancel button. :')
Anything happening on the scene yet?
 
Also, any news on that 90 degree GPU mount plate?
Is that happening at some point?
