My cartpenters eye is telling me that TV stand wont hold the DG-8.
With its 686 x 270mm (27 x 10") footprint, it is utterly colossal compared to regular cases.
In fact it turned out so massive I had to abandon the idea of putting it above my monitors.
I am going to, god forgive me for this sin, put it on the floor;

It almost resembles one of those lit bar minifridges. Its so tall, the top vent is barely staying clear of the desk.

Its a beasty, dont let it fool you into thinking its like any regular ol' desktop case.

All apologies.. but your carpenters eye is crossed.
1) The DG-87 is just a little smaller than the CM Cosmos 2, which means it will fit on my stand perfectly.
2) Your illustration shows your DG-87 placement is on the wrong side, as all cables exit from the left rear of the case, that is unless you have extensions for
everything hooked up to your pc.

By way of comparison the CM Cosmos 2 dimensions are as follows.. 27.70" x 13.50" x 26.10", where the DG-87 dimensions are 27.007" x 10.62" x 25.31"
Making the DG-87 just slightly smaller than the CM Cosmos 2, yet the depth (thickness) is almost 3" thinner on the DG-87.
all this according to specs listed on Newegg for the CM, and EVGA's front page for the DG-87.

The only thing i wish was different about the DG-87 case, is the bezel of the window.. it is completely too thick.
Reminds me of a flat screen Sony Trinitron Tube type TV.
May have to modify that !

In the video, Jacob installed a reservoir using the top and middle clips on the reservoir bracket. What length reservoir was that (I'm guessing 150mm) and what length would fit if one used the top and bottom clips?

The one used was 150mm

I'd be curious to kown the number of pre orders made. Or at least if the number met or exceeded EVGA's expectations.

I hope we can remove the drive cages on the bottom and install fans there.

How come there isn't an answer to the million dollar question? Is this thing a $250 piece of plastic or is it actually metallic? Or some mixture of plastic and metallic? I can't see dropping this much on an all plastic case...I'd be happier dropping this cash on the 750d, it's metal, sturdier, not gonna snap when I try and pick it up or all the other problems that go with plastic cases...so what's the story here exactly? "Metallic gun metal" isn't clear...are the exterior fins all plastic so my kid can mess with it and snap them and break them? I mean I can think of hundred different reasons why not to buy a plastic case...especially for this much...I am surprised at how not clear EVGA has been in this...they briefly said "the finished version will be metallic" at CES, Nobody that covered the case at Computex even bothered to discuss the materials used...not even when you guys covered it in your Friday VLOG...it's not mentioned once in a single video on YouTube from reviewers or EVGA..so what's the deal? I am getting this gut feeling you want everyone to make orders and then these cases are gonna show up and half of them will have extensive damage from shipping these large plastic cases and plastic fins then RMA's will be back ordered and, I see a disaster coming..so what's the deal? Metal, plastic, or some kind of hybrid thing?

Don't get me wrong...I'm not hating, I have always been an EVGA fan. Most of the components for this new build I am working on are EVGA (including my new SUPERNova T2 1600w psu...) but I am really disappointed in that it seems you guys are being extremely selective about important consumer information (like shipping costs, case materials, specifically which parts are made of what material) and I find myself really wanting to like this case...but this trickle of information and blatant lack thereof is really keeping me from pulling the trigger on the pre-order and that we consumers might be better off waiting for reviews so we know EXACTLY what we're buying. Let's face it, this is a brand new case and design from a company that is not known for cases...experimentation is great, I'm all for pushing the industry forward, but not like this...you need to be 100% transparent about the product you're pushing out here...this is exactly why there is so much backlash about these "reviewer sample engineer" chips and cards going out to reviewers without full disclosure. You guys were real quick to hop on this "what you see is what you get" campaign because you weren't implicated in the issue, and yet here, you have dragged your feet with pertinent information, there is nothing on the website at all about the "make-up" of this case and it feels like "here we go again" just like with the cards and chips, now we have this really cool looking case that nobody has tried, reviewed, tested except for limited display models, and it's incredibly frustrating as a builder to try and make decisions when you aren't giving up enough information...while I feel it will suck to miss out on a pre-order sale, especially for a good case, it will suck A LOT more to have to RMA it because it's not built robustly, the parts aren't durable, and/or it can be easily damaged at home and especially by shipping and have to fight about a refund. A lot of us have been building PC's for far too long to get "hyped" about something and we just want the facts, ALL of the facts.
