If EK won't make the water block then someone else will.. No biggie.

Well we kinda like EKWB, so it's a biggie.
It would be better for me to get EKWB waterblock since I can go personally to them to pick it up, rather than ordering from web and paying 50€ for shipping cost from other manufactures.

Koolance makes incredible blocks and I always had a great experience with them... I rather just go with them.

And when was the last time Koolance or rather anyone besides EK made waterblocks compatibles with custom PCB EVGA GPUs?

I've bought 4 quick disconnect (QD3 BLACK) and 2 pumps from Koolance.. The QD3 flaked all of the paint off in under a week and clogged up the blocks, using distilled water only.. The reservoir for the pump wouldn't even allow the threading to work. Koolance refused to replace the QD3 fittings and made me pay to ship the reservoir back before they would replace it. The shipping costed more than buying a new one.

Koolance is a horrible company, no matter how good their block is. I have no trust or want to ever deal with Koolance again.

I would look to bits power, as they did make a 980ti Kingpin block, since it shows that they are willing to make a block for a nonreference PCB.

Aquacomputer's Kryographics waterblocks are outstanding...I'd love to see them get more involved.  I have a Kryographics Hawaii on a 290X that I'm using right now, and it's absolutely the best block I've ever seen.

Because I don't trust "someone" to just be able to make good stuff. Especially when "someone" is still unknown, and has not said they were going to release anything. I'm also not willing to wait 2 months to get a block on my card :-)

I will be buying EVGA GTX 1070 SC or some other version that will be using stock PCB, because that waterblock for GTX 1080 Founders edition from ekwb, should fit on it :)

Probably the same. Well that is if these cards ever go to sale obviously ^^

Apparently they announced a block for the reference 1080. Why fo you think it's the best block ever? (I mean at this point, I'm willing to try another brand XD)

Quality and excellent performance. All their products are made in-house in Germany. I always used Aquacomputer's GPU and CPU blocks and would never consider a different manufacturer. But to be fair one reason is probably that I live nearby and can always reach out to them if I need support.

The OCUK comment was made by mistake as that employee was not informed of EK decision, which was made only a day prior.

Obviously, "plans" can change. Maybe EVGA's new partner doesn't perform well. Maybe EK sees enough of a business case and announces new plans. Until such time, no EK blocks for custom EVGA cards.

I don't understand... What makes you think he was not informed of the EK decision? Right in his post he specifies that the blocks obviously won't be coming from EK. "More details will come but not from EK this time around you may have seen."

The 290X Kryographics block is machined to perfection.  So much so in fact, that you don't use thermal pads between the heatsink and the memory.  You use paste.  That's attention to detail.  I can keep my machine pretty cool, because of the setup I use, so with the heatsink directly on my memory, I'm able to overclock it FAR beyond what most people even think about on a Hawaii based GPU.  Most with the 290 / 290X are lucky to hit in the 1700-1750 base clock on the memory for benchmarking.  Mine hits 1845...sometimes more depending on ambients.

I'll be looking to Aquacomputer for GPU blocks first, from now on.

Looking at the EK 780/980TI classy block, it looks like it will match up to the 1080 classy. Did a side by side image earlier yesterday and it seems to match pretty good. Hope that's the case, it would be nice to use the same block for the 3rd time, hoping the 1080TI keeps the pattern going too.
