Simon771I think EKWB will still make waterblock for EVGA best card, because they know what we want.

EK made it pretty clear, that there will be no blocks! EVGA will release their own waterblocks.

Damn ... that's a big loss for high end users :\

It won't change any of the sales. They will stay sold out, just like they always have every single time that reddit said they would drop them. It's empty threats.. every.. time.. Reddit it 98% talk, 1% harassing streamers and forums, 1% action. I never head over to reddit, because it's exactly as I mention above.

Reddit has the exact answers everyone else has. Nothing. Evga doesn't comment on items that aren't released, even when reddit demands it. The Hydrocopper will be announced when it is finalized, just like it always has been. Before that, it is all speculations. Wait for an official statement.

It's a little bit different when the great cards that EVGA makes won't get water blocks because EVGA and EK are acting like 3 year old's in a pissing match.  If I can't get a decent block for a GOOD 1080 from EVGA (FTW or higher)...I'll be forced to buy another card.

That's not an idle threat.  That's a fact.

And one I completely understand. It is really sad to see EK not making blocks for the EVGA cards this round.. I will definitely sit this entire series out because of that. I may pick up a cheap 1070 for folding, but 1080 is out of the question if I can't have the block and card I want together.

I will be buying EVGA GTX 1070 SC or some other version that will be using stock PCB, because that waterblock for GTX 1080 Founders edition from ekwb, should fit on it :)

Maybe we will get lucky and EK's legacy blocks will work. EVGA keeps their PCB design pretty consistent.

There is 0 1080 evga blocks. The bridges are already burnt. It's not a small hiccup where they say they will release them slightly late or something.

I am talking long term. Beyond the 1080, because there will be more graphics cards, right?

EVGA will offer a waterblock setup for their cards themself.

They have said both no and yes. In the live stream yesterday they said "no plans", but in the link from earlier in the thread there is a rep saying there will be one for the FTW and Classified cards. Just waiting on an official statement from them about this to clarify...hopefully at Computex? Also, the question is who is the manufacturer if not EK, Swiftech?

In what context was the "no plans" said in the stream? The rep comment on OCUK may have just been in passing.

I believe EK has responded to both of these questions on Reddit.

No EVGA blocks refers to the 1070/1080. Anything beyond that is too far off / product not announced can't comment.

The OCUK comment was made by mistake as that employee was not informed of EK decision, which was made only a day prior.

Obviously, "plans" can change. Maybe EVGA's new partner doesn't perform well. Maybe EK sees enough of a business case and announces new plans. Until such time, no EK blocks for custom EVGA cards.

If EK won't make the water block then someone else will.. No biggie.

Well we kinda like EKWB, so it's a biggie.
It would be better for me to get EKWB waterblock since I can go personally to them to pick it up, rather than ordering from web and paying 50€ for shipping cost from other manufactures.
