PasTecHi
Darn. i can feel your pain as i am also not in the u.s.
I use a forwarded to ship my packages from u.s. to my country(island) Curacao. Meaning if i pay 429.99 on evga site i'll have to pay another 85dollars to get it in my hand. If i buy an evga hybrid 1080 and its for 750 dollars for example, thats probably gonna be an extra 100 dollars to get it in my hands. So it sucks for me lol.
Here they are selling 980ti's for 700dollars...

Hm so your situation is even a bit worse than mine :0

It just got harder right now as I saw a 1080 sea hawk x getting in stock at a german reseller... But for 889€, that is 200€ above the cheapest 1080... I'm tempted, but there are too many factors speaking for EVGA... Releasing soon (tm), way better warranty and hopefully price :> Arrrg I hate waiting & refreshing pages so often xD

the seahawk x are using the founders pcb if im not mistaken while the seahawk ex are using the msi gaming pcb.
While the evga hybrid is using the ftw pcb.....
So the hybrid 1080 should be better than the seahawk but for 889 euros aka 1000 dollars is too overpriced :s if my country ever get one they'd probably go for 1300 lol

Yeah you are right with the Sea Hawk... And as I am going to holidays next tuesday for 10 days, it would be enough if I could get my hands on the EVGA Hybrid in 14 days... Hmm it probably won't happen, but I waited so long it would be a shame to stop waiting now xD I hope I can order it before my holidays so I don't have to check the stores every day while I should relax...

not to mention gigabyte's AIO full water coverage card being out by thursday I think at 769.99 over on newegg with that 1936 OC mode...COME ON EVGA!

too bad I don't like the looks of gigabyte's card, but still, very tempting...
though I'm sure EVGA/jacob will randomly announce it and ninja drop on the spot within a week, I just hope all of this waiting lead to a healthy stock.

I was about to go with SeaHawk X too, but for no apparent reason MSI delayed shipment for that model so now I have either to wait until 29 July or hope to get an Hybrid card before that day.

Unfortunately the Hybrid is going to be in limited quantity just like all the other cards that are for sale which is going to make many of us frustrated, including myself.

I would go with 2x980ti planning to upgrade within 2 years. In my case I won't be able to upgrade until 3/4 years, so I'm going with 1080.

I actually bought GTX 1070 SeaHawk X and send it back immediately, it had a ridiculous coil whine in my silent build. The second problem was the fan no where to be controlled base on the GPU temp. Other wise the card peformed well, i didn't OC it manually i only used the MSI app. My low temp was 30C and max 49-54C (depend on the fan RPM) it was running 1200RPM most of the time giving me a result of 54C. And yes it was so quite i could've hear a small coil whine even when not gaming.
If my first EVGA card dream wont happen then i will still go for the MSI instead of Gigabyte Waterforce, simply because you have to cut the fan cable in order to install a custom one which make no sense in my opinion.

So, the Waterforce fan can't be changed out unless you cut and re-wire? That's pretty stupid for a card that cost that much.

I wonder how loud the stock fan is.

i really like being able to swap out rad fans. i moved all my fans (rad and case) to noctuas. makes a world of difference.

Yeah, wow, I didn't know that about Gigabyte's card--if I can't put my Gentle Typhoon on it, do not want.
