I had a Gigabyte G1 980ti and it was loud and hot. Basically swapped it for a 980 ti hybrid and I doubt I will ever go back to a non hybrid card again. I ended up going hybrid sli but I'm just not a fan of sli. Sold one and have a solid offer for the other. Cards never went above 48c solo. In sli the top card went to 54c but thats Witcher 3 @ 4k/60+ fps, and zero noise. I swapped the stock fan out with gentle typhoons and put it in a push/pull config. Lovely cards.
I'm awaiting this 1080 hybrid.
Im with you there. After I got the Fury X in my pc and it showed the temps on idle and in my case I didnt want to get back to a non aio solution either. So its either 1080 hybrid,980ti hybrid or Fury X for me. I dont think I can get back to air gpu's either.
I think I will not back on Air GPU as well. I would like if EVGA in future start to produce Classified with AIO Liquid Cooler.
On beginning when CORSAIR and Antec show up with their AIO systems no one pay attention but it was obvious that AIO Liquid Coolers for CPU are future. For 70% of people that was stupid investment and Noctua or Megahalem were better. But H50 and H70 promised... They pushed hot air out of case and people had more space for easier installation other hardware, cleaning PC, cable management, Case interior look better and they change faster thermal paste. Same is with GPU and I think if not this than next year EVGA should present first Classified AIO cooler with PCB capable for installation and waterblocks or at least two version of Classified, Air and Hydro Classified.
Than we will back on our place with advantages of AIO systems. Until than people who can't afford custom loop better to choose Hybrid.
I can't even afford Predator, because he could mean difference between GTX1080 and GTX1080Ti and than I always choose better hardware but I would like Classified on Predator or Swiftech more than Hybrid same as Hydro Copper.
