I bought gtx 980 ti hybrid.
But I suffered from pump noise.
Finally I sold the card.
I hope you used different pump in gtx 1080 hybrid.

I have an EVGA GTX980Ti Hybrid (1st gen, before the redesign) in my secondary mini-ITX gaming rig and I can't hear any pump noise.  Sorry that you got a lemon.  There are others that also had this issue.  Hopefully, EVGA has worked with Asutek to redesign the pump for less noise generation ;-)

I had a Gigabyte G1 980ti and it was loud and hot. Basically swapped it for a 980 ti hybrid and I doubt I will ever go back to a non hybrid card again. I ended up going hybrid sli but I'm just not a fan of sli. Sold one and have a solid offer for the other. Cards never went above 48c solo. In sli the top card went to 54c but thats Witcher 3 @ 4k/60+ fps, and zero noise. I swapped the stock fan out with gentle typhoons and put it in a push/pull config. Lovely cards.

I'm awaiting this 1080 hybrid.

Im with you there. After I got the Fury X in my pc and it showed the temps on idle and in my case I didnt want to get back to a non aio solution either. So its either 1080 hybrid,980ti hybrid or Fury X for me. I dont think I can get back to air gpu's either.

So, I have an H115i cooling my 6700k and I have the Corsair 760d case. I'm wondering where I should put the radiator for the 1080 hybrid (providing I'm lucky enough to snag one and don't go with the FTW or Classified). I have my h115i radiator up top and it's working great, but there isn't any room for another rad up there and I doubt the tubes would reach anyway. I don't know if they'll reach to the front either, which pretty much leaves me with the back exhaust fan and the base of the case which has a fan slot. I was thinking the back of the case wouldn't be too bad a of a deal; I could set it up as an exhaust and since I have liquid cooling for my CPU + two 140mm fans on the front my ambient temps in the case shouldn't get that hot.

Thoughts?

I did the excact same setup with my fury X. to put the radiator for the gpu as rear. Im gonna do the same with the 1080 hybrid.
But I do have plans on buying a 900d so I can put up the h100i + hybrid on top.

So you put the rad for the fury on the back of your case as an exhaust? It worked out alright temperature wise?

EDIT: oops, I saw your edit after I posted mine. You said you put it on the back of your case. Did you do an extra fan for push/pull, or just the fan it came with on the rad? How were temps?

I think you should be fine putting it at the back. Your temps are not going to get that high in the case with your CPU and GPU liquid cooled. The two intake fans will be more than enough to keep the rest of the components cool.

No problem.

Now all we need is for EVGA to give us our Hybrids.
