When i spoke to them they thought they will ship out hybrids before FTW as they beleive they are getting hybrids 30th june/1st july and they think the FTW may be delayed past that.

Maybe i will have to wait longer to get a gtx1080, but i had been waiting for a month already so at this point whats a few days or weeks... maybe we will get FTWs/Hybrids by Christmas

I can't wait when NVIDIA launch GTX1080Ti and patient people who bought EVGA step-up... Others will cry here with their Waterforce and SeaHawk.
When NVIDIA start to sell GTX1080Ti for same price.  Or 100$ more, 40-45% faster, almost as GTX980Ti SLI.
Than GTX1080Ti reference instead 1080 custom will look so nice option. And ACX 3.0 and SC owners will step-up.

If someone order card in August he will have very good chance for step-up...
AMD plan to launch Vega in November and NVIDIA will 100% about month earlier to launch their premium model.
Septembar, October, November...That's around 90 days. Because of that pushing and chasing now for any model is not so smart.

the thing is, if u can wait for the  1080ti to be released. Why not wait for the 11xx series to be released? and while we reach the 11xx series why not wait for the 1180ti? and while we reach there why not wait for the 1280? and after that the 1280ti? and so on and so on :')  this world is going too fast

The reason why im buying a 1080 right now is well, i want my gf to sli her 970 with mine, and well she has a 60hz monitor and i ot a 144....dont like lowering settings most of the times to maintain that 144fps lol

Anyone looked at the Gigabyte version of xtreme water cooled?

It's a very interesting GPU called the Waterforce. No fan on the card itself but it's 100% liquid cooled.

Power delivery is robust with 12+2 phases and dual 8 pin PCI power connectors.

Core
Boost: 1936 MHz / Base: 1784 MHz in OC mode
Boost: 1898 MHz / Base: 1759 MHz in Gaming mode

Memory Clock
OC mode: 10416 MHz
Gaming mode: 10211 MHz

4 year warranty

EVGA has some work to do.

I might have to take a closer look at this one.

I am really considering this Gigabyte card if EVGA does not soon launch their 1080 Hybrid. Also the Gigabyte is more interesting since its 100% water cooled.

The 100% water cooled is a nice touch. Last years version looked like it was just slapped together quickly and put up for sale. This years version though looks like a well thought out quality unit. Honestly, for me it's between the Gigabyte and EVGA.
