Anyone know what the specs are for the fan supplied with the 1080 FTW Hybrid? I looked at product specs but it doesn't say.

Oh wow ok I didn't realize.. from that tear-down video a few posts back, the guy said the fan mounted in the 1080Hybrid card itself sucks air from what would normally be the exhaust and blows it into the case, is that correct???

So I just finished watching the gamers nexus videos of the tear down and the review. I understand that EVGA has a better warranty and all of that. What I took from these two videos is that the price difference for the MSI is not worth it. So considering you can actually buy the MSI right now there is nothing about the EVGA that makes a big enough difference to keep waiting with no clue of when I can buy one.  If I am wrong please inform me of my misunderstanding so I can learn from it thanks.

I don't think so, no. After all my research the thing that really seems to sway people with GPUs at this level is the small things like that. All these cards are within the ball park of each other when it comes to base performances, but there's tweaks involving better OC ability, temperature, voltage, aesthetics, and also availability, pricing of course those things are what win people over in the end. You're not going to curse your MSI when you buy it, they're all good products, that do their job which is give us amazing graphics.

I finally received my Hybrid and it is awesome! 55°C at full load. I have a question regarding the boost clock. What is the stock out of the box boost clock for this card? My card boosts up to 2025 MHz out of the box. I'm not complaining at all but it seems high to me.

Should have waited for the actual review...In the review he says EVGA Hybrid > MSI Seahawk.

It's rated at 1860MHz stock boost clock.

Looks like you won the silicone lottery.

The review was what caused me to cancel my preorder. The temps on the hybrid are way too high, as detailed extensively by those videos, regardless of how much better the hybrid 'should' be performing due to its higher quality specs elsewhere.

Yes, in the two review units he tested but I've gotten about 2150MHz stable on my SeaHawk which makes the differences overall negligible between the two when it comes to overclocking. Basically it comes down to the silicone luck of the draw. But the Hybrid is cheaper, has a custom pcb, more power phases and looks nicer.

The one thing that was concerning was when they removed the copper plate and re-tested the temps came down.
