No prob fitting the 2 hybrid coolers up top in a thermaltake core x9 case. Thats what will house mine tomorrow when I get my 2.

Nice!

Well I have installed my Hybrid and I have had it running for 2 Days at 2126Core and 10,800Memory.  I love this card, it has replaced my since sold  GTX 780 SLI setup.  I am running at ~49C now with Dual ML120 Fans in a Push Pull on a fan controller.  The best part is my office is not 90degrees anymore. and my power usage went from 795Watts gaming to 420Watts.  The wait is worth it, however I do think I am going to be buying another Hybrid, I just miss SLI, still need to decide on a case though.

Did you buy the 2-pack ML120 or 2x single "Pro" ML120 fans? My Hybrid arrives next Monday and I already have a fan controller lying around for a situation like this. As far as I can tell there is no difference between the regular and Pro fans other than the color?

+1 on the pics.

I run the X9 case with a Thermaltake 360 AIO, and there is plenty of room left in the top for a Hybrid AIO kit (or two).

Sure guys! I did buy a whole upgrade for the system and new water cooling for the cpu.. custom loop. But way cost effective to run a hybrid cooler when possible for graphics cards over buying a new custom block ea upgrade.. that is if you upgrade every year hehe.

I did already have 2 evga fe 1080s and ek full face blocks for them and back plates and the bridge.. then I got lucky as I was away on vacation and I could not install the stuff and then seen the ftw hybrids in stock and snagged them! Saved like $331 bucks going with the better hybrids! A complete no brainer!! Haha

The pc upgrade is being held off till I get some coolant as Mc don't have crap other then colored fluids. I want clear if possable.. tempted to look into a 50/50 mix with antifreeze but worried it would suck and look green or brown.

Crap! Weekend is apon us and now I'll prob have to wait till Monday Tuesday if I ordered quick.

All, FYI - I did post some pics back on page 47 of this thread.  My system specs (secondary gaming system) are posted as well.  Let me know if you want more pics, benchmarking results, temps, etc.

Thanks!

2-pack ML120 non pros. You are correct in your statement, the only difference is the pros light up. My case is on the side of my desk that I never see so I couldn't justify the extra cost for the Pros. I paid $40 even with NJ sales tax and the fan splitter off amazon

I think this is the best fan configuration if you have the room and are overclocking.

As a test I purchased another fan for my Sea Hawk to run it in push/pull and I saw a 5 to 6 degree Celsius drop by just adding a fan. No fan controller though. I'm using the motherboard bios to control the fans.

The fans I'm using are the Cougar CFD120. The combination of low noise, high cfm and decent air pressure are the reason I use them. These fans are rated at 1200 rpm but I've seen as high as 1350 rpm in my setup. I have them setup to stay very quiet at idle(50% @ 30C) but they ramp up as temperature increases while still remaining pretty quiet. It's been working really well so far.

Dimensions:  120x120x25 mm
Speed:  1200 rpm
Air Flow @ 12V(CFM/m3/h):  64.37/109.42
Air Pressure @ 12V(mm H2O):  1.74
Noise:  16.6 dB(A)
Bearing Type:  HB(Hydraulic Bearing)
Connector:  3 pin
Cable Length:  450mm

Thanks. My new case won't fit a p/p fan setup on top where I currently have my hybrid radiator, or from the looks of it anywhere at the top of the case. Not enough clearance. I knew I should've just bought the 760T or the Obsidian 750D over the 450D. No idea prior to buying it, but the 450D is a real pain with its side panels. It's a 15 minute project getting both panels to slide on and fit into place. I'm already getting irritated at the thought of opening the case on Monday to install the new GPU. May just go all out and buy a new case a month after buying my current one.

Would love if Jacob could give an estimate on when the EU store might get the 1080 hybrids. Peace

Could you put one of the fan on the outside rear with a fan cover, wouldn't look 100%, but still may work.
