i edited my post ive never had microstutter with SLI

You may have never noticed it...until someone points it out, then you will be like, "oooohhh".

Not all games exhibit the issue, and some more than others.  I hardly noticed it until I read an article listing the specific games for which micro stutter was prevalent.  Regardless, this is one of the main reasons why high-end enthusiasts prefer single card solutions over SLI configurations.  That and the fact that SLI does not always scale well, regardless of paying twice the price and not getting 2x performance gain in return for that investment.

Well...thats why i didnt want to buy a second 1080 because i always prefer single cards to avoid the SLI issues. I told my gf if she wants she could sell them and buy a 1070 but i am not sure if she is up to it tho

So, here's my conspiracy theory (though it doesn't involve super international spies with cats and what not):

1) Late June/early July:  Nvidia orders TSMC (in Taiwan) to halt all manufacturing of GTX1070 and GTX1080 cards in late June-early July and to begin reconfiguration of assemble for the Titan X product
2) Early July:  TSMC complies, all GTX1070 and GTX1080 production is halted and reconfiguration of the assemble lines for the Titan X begins
3) Early August:  TSMC meets the initial quota for Titan X production and halts production, begins reconfiguring assemble lines to begin producing GTX1070 and GTX1080 cards again
4) Mid August:  TSMC completes reconfiguration of assemble process and GTX1070 and GTX1080 cards begin to ship from Taiwan to worldwide retailers
5) Late August:  GTX1070 and GTX1080 stock begin to slowly trickle in
6) Early to Mid September:  GTX1070 and GTX1080 "in-stock" status becomes more frequent as consumer sales begin to fall as demand is met (finally)

So, based upon my best two cents from my half empty piggy bank, we have the Titan X to thank for the scarce supply of GTX1070 and GTX1080 cards (though the GTX1070 isn't in as much demand as the GTX1080)

You have too much time on your hands

Simple 1 word explanation for non-design issue delays:  Typhoons

Total disruption of shipments in or out of country - power issues, staff issues ......

Learning is a part of living!  Enjoy that new 1080 ;-)

Ye...In the world of PC we never stop learning lol
Man...Never thought i'd crank some games on max settings(vsync off) and get above 160fps kicking at only 2000mhz...I am enjoying every single bit of it ._.

Now one would think these are issues that should be prevalent in the 90s and not 2016.  Wow.  Okay, with the exception of the bad weather.  I did check and there were no Typhoons as of recent that should have impacted shipping lanes from Taiwan.  Maybe some tropical storms that could have added a bit of extra fun on the way to the west coast of the US?  Ah well.  Burst my bubble as I always love a conspiracy ;-)

The sole reason why I bought a Titan X Pascal -- gaming with all settings maxed playing games at UQHD and 4K is absolutely amazing and gratifying AND without having to use SLI = awesome!

Anyone have previous experience with hybrids?. I have been using EVga's Coppers for the past couple gens. Thinking of  buying a hybrid.. Thoughts? Hybrid vs copper?

Copper will always be superior to Hybrid.  "Why", you might ask? Simple.  Full cover water block not only cools the GPU, but also the VRAM, and VRMs.  Hybrid cards only actively cool the GPU.  All other components are passively cooled and do not have coolant flow to move heat away from them.  Hybrids will always be second best to true water cooling solutions.

I have attached pics which show the difference of what a full water block cools and what the Hybrid cools with regards to the components on the PCB.  Both cards are GTX980Ti cards.

I dunno i seem to have a 1080 hybrid listed in my order history.
So i doubt it was an error.

Yes, my EVGA GTX1080 FTW Hybrid pre-order is also valid and listed in my order history ;-)

Does anyone know what size the Radiator on the 1080 Hybrid will be?

Ta

Yes, the EVGA GTX1080 FTW Hybrid uses a 120mm radiator:

Quote from first paragraph:  "The water cooler is completely self contained, with an included 120mm radiator and fan, no filling, no custom tubing, no maintenance. Just plug and play!"

Games running on engines with proper SLI support dont micro stutter. Ive been running SLI since gtx 285 i have super sensitive eyes even tiniest imperfection annoy crap out of me why i now have gsync. If i had microstutter i would notice it.

I got the error, and have nothing in my pre-order history....
