$30 ground shipping? it cost less to have a 27" monitor sent from CA to Michigan... what the hell?  I'll wait for stock elsewhere... /sigh.

Then after trying about 10 times, back to ''auto-notify'' instead of ''preorder''.....

What a shame, I've been waiting a while for this card.

I have been stalking this thread like crazy for like 3 months now, patiently waiting for a sign on the elusive hybrid. But, since stock for Eastern Europe should probably arrive in about 2 months time, I have no alternative left but to get a Gigabyte or Seahawk 1080. Should I wait for hybrid to be in stock in my country or go for one of the others ?

EVGA sent out an email notification today allowing for pre-orders to be placed on the EVGA GTX1080 FTW card (08G-P4-6288-KR)!  I placed my pre-order and not even 5 minutes later...SOLD OUT 
 
Please share if anyone else got lucky and got their pre-order placed before the stock ran out - thanks!
 
Looks like I'll be returning my MSI GTX1080 Sea Hawk X card (brand new and sealed in the package) back to Newegg or will sell it on Craigslist.

Wow, I was F5ing the page before you even announced it, immediately saw the pre order button, hit it, went through the next verifying address screen, only to be hit with an error box at the top saying something about a shipping error and to go back, yet there was a bigger box on the bottom with a check box complying to EVGA's terms, but no options to continue? So I hit back, and go through it again, SAME THING! This was on firefox, I quickly jumped to chrome, SAME THING!
 
And shortly afterward it says it's no longer in stock, unbelievable.

EVGA, this is BS, make this right, I can understand if I was too late or slow but I highly doubt it, I ninja'd through those screens as fast as a human could only to be hit with this shipping error that others are also experiencing, there was NO other option or anything regarding shipping, so what gives?

I too received the shipping error and quickly figured out what caused it.  The item had already been placed in my cart and wouldn't allow for a second one to be added.  I wasn't trying to buy two cards, but hadn't realized that one was already in my cart.  So, I selected on the cart which showed "1".  Once I did that I was returned to my cart and was able to pre-order the card without any other issues.  No less than 5 minutes later they were sold out. 

Man I almost feel bad for getting mine ordered. I feel bad for those that didn't. Hopefully EVGA will make an exception for those that got errors while trying to order.
 
Looking forward to getting mine. $30 shipping is steep but I was expecting near $800 for this card so at $760 with shipping it's still a discount in my mind.
