So I'm planning to buy a 1080, an hybrid/ AIO model to be exact. Therefore it's either going to be either EVGA's Hybrid, Corsair's Sea hawk X or Gigabyte's (not likely though).



Now it's just a matter of deciding. The Corsair lands at 973 USD in Sweden (with swedish taxes) and there's no current price for EVGA's other than the 730 on the product page. So i wonder is that with any taxes or without? Also Have any of you guys been noticing coil whine on any of the cards mentioned? One guy on another forum said that he had gotten quite a lot of it from a 1070 version of the Sea hawk.
Would EVGA accept a return if their card had an unusual amount of coil whine?

Absolutely no coil whine with my 1080 Sea Hawk.

Maybe on the 1080 or you just got lucky. I had to return my second 1070 Sea Hawk, sure when the chassi is closed the noise become minimal but it's still there. For someone sensitive like me i hate this noise, other wise i love the black design of sea hawk and it makes me sad that my second card was a failure. I may give it a 3rd try but this time go with the 1080 :(

BTW my psu is Corsair RM850x, can it cause the coil whine problem? I rent my friend g1 980ti and run it with this PSU, it had no coil whine att all even in 1000+ FPS.

Maybe I did get lucky. I've opened my case door and stuck my head right next to the gpu and I hear nothing except the sound of fans spinning. I use an EVGA 850 P2 power supply which is very efficient. I've heard that some psu's will make the sound more pronounced.

I just received my Gigabyte Xtreme waterforce, and after quick OC (10 mins using linear OC tool in Gigabyte app) hit 2214 stable @ 50C. Beast of a card. I wish you guys all luck on the snagging of the elusive 1080 Hybrid. BTW I was hesistant about cards, because of the few reviews I could find stated the card had horrendous pump noise. Mine is silent. Maybe Gigabyte went back to the drawing board for second rollout of card?

I'm getting very sick of waiting. Time to go read reviews on that GB card....

Wow! What awesome overclock. And stays very cool too.  Congrats!
 
Water cooling is the way to go folks. Just hang in there the Hybrid will be worth the wait.

Mother of GAWD. Did you toy with the memory speed at all or just keepin' it to the clock speed for stability?

I haven't toyed with memory at all...yet. That's a project for tomorrow.

very nice. 

Couldn't resist, I just bought Zotac 1080 AMP! Extreme. I read it's one of the best, if not the best itself, in benchmarks. Too bad I won't get WC but at least the wait is over for me.

Mine is out for delivery right now and should be here around 1:00pm (When the Fedex guy is typically in my area). Thats an amazing OC! You should post some screen grabs of your GPUz and your settings in Gigabytes GamingEngine. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this card can do and I'll try to hop back on later once I've had a change to play around with it and get things stable.
