Sadly my xl r2 case doesnt have space for the evga 1080 hybrid+ powerconnector+ cables sticking out so I cant buy it. I think evga did a really dumb choice of chosing that extra long pcb.
seahawk and FE is testatament that you dont need 2x 8pin connectors in order to get oc@ 2050-2100.
Another stupid thing that evga in my mind is that the 1080 hybrid requires the power adapter.

Theres only 1 1080 hybrid kit on ebay/amazon right  now its gonna cost 350dollars with shipping+import to my country, and on top of the evga 1080 FE which is 877 dollars and its gonna cost me WAY over what I had in mind to pay for it.
So that is out of the question for me.

Im gonna go with the seahawk x because its way smaller and the card doesnt cover up my sata 1-4 connections which may seem like a non issue to someone, but to me its a big deal. I mean I can try and fumble with the sata cables or I have to take up the gpu and insert. its alot of work for such a  basic thing to do.

to those who have seahawk x 1080,whats the max rpm on the fan and do anyone know what db noise it has on max?

I'm assuming you are talking about the radiator fan? If so, based on the model number on the fan it is the following:  Corsair SP120

1650 RPM - 57.24 CFM
26.4 dBA

It doesn't matter to me one bit why anyone is here, all I said is that I find it to be strange, neither good nor bad, and followed up with my reasoning.

Regardless of passion or gaming or anything else, this is an EVGA forum.

that's like saying a Ford/Chevy owner can't post on an import car forum and vice versa.

EVGA is a great company, but it's not the only company out there that's producing quality parts. i have no brand loyalty. the only loyalty i have is to performance and my pockets. i've always been an Nvidia-person and it's well known that EVGA provides for a good chunk of their sales -- which is why i joined this forum. at the end of the day, most of us are here because we share a similar passion. not because we're some big EVGA fanboy.

No, I haven't.

The first thing I did was replace it with a Cougar fan and connected it to my fan controller on my case.

I think its strange that's actually strange to you. You should keep in mind that some people have multiple 1080's of different brands.   I can't blame the OP of this thread boasting about his MSI hybrid. I had one a few days ago but sold it for a huge profit in the Hard Forums. Solid card with great temps and overclocks.
   - Waiting on the FTW hybrid seems futile being that it more than likely will not overclock no higher than the air-cooled version. Which BTW is a total crap fest for the majority of the FTW owners. I guess most people will only be buying it for bragging rights... for the love of that EVGA brand name.

I think it's strange that you think it's strange that I think it's strange!
I'm just as upset/anxious as everyone else, don't get me wrong, and I was super tempted to get gigabytes full coverage waterforce, but aesthetics do matter to me as my case is on open display for my apartments feng shui--that, and, EVGA's card matches my entire setup perfectly. (and of course for the fact you can't swap the fan) I wish EVGA just told us outright there would be a delay and perhaps a reason why, and I'm sure some people would have just stuck it out and others would not. The EVGA brand just backs great support, and the FTW has dual BIOS, something I'd want in case of future vbios hax.

strange

[streynj]

adjective, stranger, strangest.
1. unusual, extraordinary, or curious; odd; queer:a strange remark to make.

2. estranged, alienated, etc., as a result of being out of one's natural environment:I felt strange as I walked through the crowded marketplace.

4. outside of one's previous experience; hitherto unknown; unfamiliar:strange faces; strange customs.

5. unaccustomed to or inexperienced in; unacquainted (usually followed by to):I'm strange to this part of the job.

6. distant or reserved; shy.

Nowhere in this definition nor from myself, does it/did I say you can or can't do anything.

Not sure why. The Corsair fan cabling is not connected to anything. It's a simple 3 pin connector. I unbolted the 4 screws holding the fan to the radiator and installed my new fan.
