Hi All

Update at the end of the week here in terms of the first stocks arriving, we hit an extra day delay on the SC so now first stocks likely next Monday 13th. There is a small chance we may still hit Friday 10th.

SC - 13th June.
FTW - 17th June.
Classified - End of June
Hybrid - Early July.
Hydro Copper - Late July

Just trying to keep dates updated here best I can.

Ben EVGA

Thanks for the update!

Any idea how long after the regular 1080s all come out, EVGA will begin releasing Ti editions?  The difference between the 980 Hybrid and 980 Ti was a little over two months.  Are we looking at the same window in the case of the 1080 Hybrid and 1080 Ti?

980 was September 2014, 980ti was June 2015. So maybe we'll see the 1080ti in ten months

I wouldn't expect a ti in 2016

I already did the 1080 Hybrid using the unit from 980/Ti/TX

i dont think its worth it. might as well wait for the actual hybrid since it will have a better memory fan as well as better PCB. but i guess thats better then nothing.

saw this that looks like quick connects to me and i see lots of other evga things in there connected all together

Why use Hybrid cards in this configuration instead of Hydro cards with a full water block?

1) i think its a great idea for people who dont want to go with a completely custom water cooled system (seems like a headache). i have been surprised that corsair (or other aio cooler companies) havent made these hybrid systems sooner. i myself, dont want to take the time and headache in buying tubes, blocks, and connectors and trying to build a truly custom loop. but if i could buy pieces that all interlock and it was easy, i would "upgrade" from my h100i and aio gpu coolers into a single unit.

2) i am guessing/hoping this option would be cheaper then a completely custom loop.

You've probably already seen them, but they already make cheater full loops.

With available cheater pre-filled full water block.

EVGA has the same thing coming out this fall, but I think with Acetek components.

that is pretty cool. but evga is still taking it a step further and selling the card with the expandable block already installed and warrantied. which is a plus. evga also has the marketing power to actually bring it to the common consumer.

i really have been back and forth looking at EK products. i think im too old to want to build my own system. the older i get the more my time and sanity is worth. i use to think, who over pays for pre built water cooled systems, idiots.... now i think i want my next system to be built for me (and water cooled). lol.

hopefully whatever evga and asetek bring out helps push the prices down of water cooling across the board. then we all win.

by the way, i am not saying any which way is better then the other. i just see the positives in both. and currently/personally i kinda lean towards this new way evga is going (if i was to build it myself). though, if i was going to buy a new system, i would want to go all out with a custom colored hard pipe setup.

i'm curious about the expandable systems as well i've been thinking about building a custom loop but the perks for this style is pretty nice, say you have a piece crap out on you there is no need to drain the whole system to remove or replace it. but honestly i think the black hoses are ugly and look too much like under a car hood, not something i want to see thru my cases window. maybe some sleeving or something would make it look better. i can think of a few other variations i'd like to see to expand upon this idea. maybe some hard lines on the sides to connect to and route to the radiators or something. If anything this just opens up more possibilities for future growth in this area of PC mods, Just my thoughts on this topic.
