Don't get why people buy the hydrocopper. Buy an ek block and the ref based pcb and you got the same card for less and better 2nd hand sale or for when your loop is down as you still have the stock cooler for whatever reasons. Your paying the cost of the regular plus the block and some for a hydrocopper. Evga needs to throw in an air cooler to the hydrocopper bundle for it to make sense.
Because you get a better bios installed with higher OC, higher stock clocks, and also if the card bricks you havent installed the block.
You pay for that extra deal, and most waterblocks itself are over $100 dollars without backplate + you get dual 8pins on it compared to most of the other variants.
Hope that answer why. Personally im running a GTX 780 HC with 365MHz OC at 1228MHz compared to stock cards with 863mhz, and with 1.3volts. Couldnt be happier with it.
Im sure gonna pay some extra for the HC version again cause im really happy with the old one and trust EVGA help me out with this one aswell.
