I really have liked and used the Hydro Coppers in the past, but the delays this round, and fluctuations around what will actually be available, who makes the block, when its released, etc have been bad.
Ended up just getting a SC Gaming with an EK block and backplate... which JUST arrived!

Think I'll hate to go the same way... not interested in "random generated" version. And the new one... I don't like the layout... that sticking power connector is giving bad impresion plus there is no telling with which version you'll get when you order in an e-shop...

I have 2x EVGA GTX 1080 FEs sitting on the floor behind me that I Amazon'ed. My EK-FC bridge got in today. 2x EK FC-1080 blocks and backplates will be here next Tuesday and I'll be good to go (bridge was separate because I ordered the wrong size and had the re-order sent rush to catch up).

New build is ready to start and I'm not waiting any longer... too much uncertainty and by the time this is sorted out and the cards are actually attainable we'll probably be half way to the GP102 Titan and I'm seriously thinking of picking up one of those.

I liked the original concept better.  The US product release page has also changed the image to match what was posted above.

Not liking the new look, as it seems the fluid won't be visible from the face of the block like previous versions allowed (looks like the EVGA logo is just a sticker).  Include the added wait time to the equation, and I have decided to go with a 1080 SC + EK block, and skip the Hydro Copper this round.

New one looks like (Deleted for Language), sorry...i had that same block on my 780Ti Hydro Copper and it's just a plain block with a sticker on it...and i'll pass on swiftech as well...glad i kept my 980Ti Hydro...beautiful block, and is more than enough for my needs right now.

Just finished overclocking and testing my custom "hydro copper".  Benchmarks and Temps found on this thread.

I hope that v 1 - 3 SKU is going to refer to cards with better and better clocks and a better block.  That redraw is an obvious "we need to use a non EK block and swiftech has reference blocks" so change the power connectors.  Yuck.  Now that EVGA and EK are friends again I hope they build a better solution.  That thing is a hodgepodge.

Interesting, it looks like design for cooler and probably PCB for hydro changed... compare it to the picture on page 2...

Yeah its so ugly now. I dont like it at all, same how the power connectors build outwards. 980ti looked good also the concept one that I thought was how it was supposed to look like.

Soo MSI is also selling a watercooled version of the 1080 ...
I'll get the evga one; not a big fan of msi tbh. Currently it is hard to wait for me
I hope it will be end july and not early/mid august
I do not really care how the card looks as long as it is not super ugly and arrived in time

What happen? This year EKWB will make waterblock for MSI cards not EVGA?
This looks like Swiftech cooler on series GTX7xx Kepler.
