Don't get why people buy the hydrocopper. Buy an ek block and the ref based pcb and you got the same card for less and better 2nd hand sale or for when your loop is down as you still have the stock cooler for whatever reasons. Your paying the cost of the regular plus the block and some for a hydrocopper. Evga needs to throw in an air cooler to the hydrocopper bundle for it to make sense.
Agree with the first part about getting it cheaper, but the 2nd part about better resale, it's far from it. Hydro Copper cards are very sought after, esp on Ebay, people fight over it more than any other. Even after the announcement of the 1080, i sold a 980Ti Hydro locally for $700..there are a few 980Tis locally with EK blocks on still sitting there being used as coasters, lowering and lowering their prices every week. A lot of people buy this card because they don't want to mess with putting the blocks on themselves, which can be intimidating and tedious sitting there cutting the thermal pads. Also they retain full warranty whereas if you put a waterblock on a regular card you might get it voided.
Another reason to buy the HC is if you have a case like mine that mounts your GPU vertically, it's nice to see that LED logo :)
