I will fold for a team that appreciates whatever I can contribute without making demands of my output by trying to dangle a carrot from a stick to motivate me.

No one has ever demanded anything. EVGA offers more incentives than any other team. EVGA bucks for folding, for helpful posts, for milestones... they are not dangling a carrot to motivate you, and if you feel they are, you may be looking st the incentive the wrong way. No team has to provide anything, but EVGA even provided fantastic prizes this last event we held.

I upgrade my hardware because it folds faster and completes more work units. A single 970 can meet the 3m goal in 10 to 15 days if left alone.

I understand some can not run their systems 24/7, but imagine that the requirement had been boosted before maxwell, when the top card produced the same ppd and also burned more energy.

The incentive is supposed to be to upgrade, not to get money for personal gain.

Bjorn3d is the only other team that I would fold for as they have shown appreciation and done things for their crowd ovcasionally.

I would have to Fold for 5 years to upgrade to a video board that meets my standards. The 1.5 million 10 EVGA buck reward helped offset my electric bill. Now you're asking me to go into the hole while my wallet and savings gets siphoned by my power company. The only thing I've upgraded was my wardrobe with EVGA T-shirts. I got a better way to get my equipment upgraded, shut it off and save the electricity that running a video board to Fold burns up.

Again, I don't fold for the bucks. I usually use my bucks to help others. Kind of like folding.. I don't have cancer or any other diseases that were fold for, but it could possibly help someone else, so why not.

I have upgraded 2 motherboard, 5 sli bridges, a few mice, and only once have I ever used any of my bucks on myself. Every buck went toward someone else.

The once I used the bucks on myself is because one of our folder and I couldn't upgrade another member, so I used my bucks on me, and my cash on them.

I have to ask you one more question about Folding, why did you even start Folding to begin with?

Hi!
I don't know if I could post this one here, create a new thread or email support.
But for last month's EVGA bucks I received an extra 5.
Initially received 3 email messages, 1 for 750k and 2 for 1.5M each.
When I checked how much I already have, I found that there is an extra 5 bucks added.
Please advise

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, there was a glitch in our system that doubled up a few of you.  I will be removing the extra bucks shortly and if you where affected, you will receive an email letting you know.  I appreciate the heads up!

Thanks,
Rob

Way to go Team EVGA!
Here is hoping we go for 10!

Personally I fold because I had a family member diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and once I found out I could help, even a little bit, to research cures or otherwise for other families I was on board.
The bucks are a nice perk, and admittedly, that is about all I put out in a month other than the occasional contest that I participate in.
