I just got my mobo and can't wait to check out and get to work.

Gotta question... which SSD's work with this board?  I got a samsung and found it was the wrong type  .. and booting off a 5600rpm drive really sucks

You can buy any SSD, I would go on Intel 730 480, Samsung 850 Pro 512GB, CORSAIR Neutron XTi 480.

doesnt seem that those would work with the m.2 pci-e format.. or am I totally wrong?
 

Quick question. Im owning this board and running evga gtx 1070 ftw sli on it. Do i need to plug in 6pin PCIE to the motherboard? If yes as i have no hole in my case there, would that be fine maybe

The additional 6 pin power connector is optional and only really recommend when 3 cards are in play. So you're fine if you can't fit it. And yes it is in an awkward location I cant use mine either.

Are there any voltage read points on this board?  If not which EVGA boards have them?  My old 760 A1 X58 board had them..

I bought this board Last night ,after just buying a board a few days ago and I put in a Swiftech 240 x2 ,3 out of 4 ram slot stopped working so I RMA,ed that board for a refund and bought this one , this will be my 1st EVGA motherboard , never had a problem with my EVGA GFX Cards ,one card was from B-stock 560 TI FPB back in 2011 and still works with no issues and my 970 FTW I got this year ,so I'm hoping I will have good luck with this board ,EVGA hasn't let me down yet so I'm giving there mobo a try ,and I love the mat black look it will look good with my build

This board is most excellent. Only problem Ive had is having a black case, a black mother board and black screws... that is a serious pain sheesh

and just cause the ram isn't on the Memory Compatibility LIST
doesn't mean it not Compatible ,that's to let you know what memory EVGA has tested with this board
