A question for all you Fallout 4 players:

It was said that there was at least 400+ hours of gaming with this game. Knowing this, how many of you are or have rushed through it staying pretty much on the main game line?

For myself I am taking my time and looking for all those secret places to die in. LOL

I found a few of those spots. There is a lot of material in this game. If anyone rushes through this game and just does the main story, that's a lot of material and money blown.

IDK, I found my son if that's what you mean by main story line. I try to explore and do all of the side missions available without commiting to anyone's cause or take their side. I find myself being closer and closer to being pushed into a corner though. I ran into a Courser by accident and completed one of the quests for 'Father' but not on purpose. Once you run into this Couser and are enagaged by him you can't abandon the quest.

Even if you finish and complete the "other path"?

I just didn't return to 'Father' yet to collect my XP. I know that I will get another mission for The Institute that I can sit on for a while. I already have a half dozen missions for Preston and the Minutemen waiting to be turned in yet. For every mission I turn in I get another one. So far I am still in good grace with The Institute, Minutemen, Railroad and BOS. I do side missions for all of them. After all, I am The Lone Wanderer and a Mercenary, right? Pretty soon I will have to cross a line and alienate one of these organizations.

Sounds like I have to start another character and try the Institute. I didn't like the institute though, because of the idea of one entity controlling the world. that's what it sounded like to me.

What it's going to boil down to is either the BOS or Institute are probably going to become the 'Ruling Faction'. I don't want to post any spoilers so all I'm going to say is I had to go back to a previous save once so far. I am trying to milk this game for all of its worth before committing to anyone or anything.

All I'm going to say is if you see an enemy NPC carrying a fatman...Run, and you had better have saved 2 minutes ago.

Yeah, enemy NPC + Fatman = World of hurt. The problem with that is you don't know he has a Fatman until you hear the incoming round whistling through the air.

You know what they should have done? CO-OP! OMG.... would have been perfect. Instead of using a companion you can invite your friend to your game and go CO-OP. How mind blowing would that be?

And, whatever loot you both find, he gets to keep, same as you.

Co-op might be a nice change of pace since my companions like to get stuck in corners trying to walk through the walls. OMG, some of my companions are really stupid at times!
