Killmur
Ugh I was watching some poor Twitch streamer spend a chunk of their time doing the repetitive rescue the settlers quests from Preston. I think next month I might get a psychical copy of this game.

I decided to ignore Preston by not talking to him after I rescued some settler or killed some Ghouls for them. When I ignore him and go about my business exploring I occasionally have a brief message flash in the upper left corner of the screen alerting me to some problem at a settlement. If I miss it or waste too much time doing other things I get a message that my quest to rescue someone has failed. Oh well. The Commonwealth is overpopulated anyway! LOL

I'm not sure if this has already been discusses on this thread...considering there are 10 pages on it, but I'm going to mention this anyway. This latest patch is bogus from Bethesda. I cannot use SLI on this game. After a week it finally occurred to me after I have plundered through so many forums trying to see why the problems were happening....

The problem is the game will randomly crash without notice (sporadically), straight to desktop, and will give you no warning, no reason, and no explanation on why the crash happened, just straight to desktop... Finally found out that it's an SLI issue. With 1 card, no problems whatsoever. I hope that Bethesda sees and acknowledges this error, but only time will tell. Maybe it's a driver issue... but no, all apps/programs work fine, but this one in SLI, no way.

Disabling SLI solved the problem. I found other posts from other players and support forums having the same problem.
Someone is stripping my Power Armor. I have two suits missing the helmet and now one suit is missing a right arm and a right leg too. The 'peasants' don't seem to be bothering the armor parked in a power station. I might have to put my foot down and scrap all of their beds to build some Power Armor stations. That'll let them know who's the boss around Sanctuary. Let's see how they like sleeping in the dirt for a few days. LOL

yeah, see.. you have the situation I have. It's Bethesda latest patch. They just killed SLI completely. Please refer to my previous post on this as well. With 1 card, it works great.

FYI, can't remember which building it was, but I found a building which was controlled by a bunch of raiders... I found 1 bolt action rifle which does double shot, and another rifle that adds +10 energy to each hit with the possible chance to disintegrate on kill. I'm loving the bolt action short barrel, .50 cal. It just sings lol.  The action rifle is alright, best in close range. Put a short barrel on it for better hip-shot...it's good. Not sure if you guys do the same technique, but I gather up all the ammo that I do not use, and just sell it off so I can fund (without paying for) the ammo for the .50 cal and my .308. Unfortunately so far I have learned that .45 is more expensive than the .50, so I have to use my action rifle less than my .50 cal. Hopefully the next couple levels I gain and add to that "selling perk" (I forget what it's called) will help that out when I purchase and sell stuff.

I started having problems with SLI too. No problems here with a single board either. With a GTX-980 you really don't need SLI anyway.

I've been playing mostly everyday and have not had any SLI issue's or any other issue's for that matter.  I never used driver 359.06 (skipped that one) if that has any bearing on it.  I played last night for about 3 hours with the latest WHQL driver and everything was smooth and without a hiccup.

I should also mention that my game is fully up to date, so I must be running this latest patch being discussed...

I noticed on my GPUs that one of them is Samsung memory, and the other is that Elpida. Could that be an issue? I don't really see how though, because no other game is having any problems at all.

I'm going to try your approach and see what happens.

For those having SLI issue's, are you running any GPU overclocks?  If so, maybe try with stock clocks?

I can't see where having different memory on the GPU's should make any difference unless you're running a high mem OC and it's not stable on this paticular game...

Was not running any overclocks at the time this error started happening, and then tried it with the overclocks. Same results.

Gaming with stock clocks? Are you kidding??? Nah, the only games I need to run stock clocks with right now are Borderlands 2 and the Pre Sequel. Both games will TDR if I don't but this problem just started recently. I am told it can be resolved by setting the 'Affinity' to 1 core using Task Manager but IDK for sure since I haven't tried it yet.
