I tried filling in that hole at Coastal Cottage with concrete and it won't go. I tried covering that hole with wood floor panels and they don't work either. I think concrete pillars on either side and bridging the gap with wood flooring might do the trick. I'll look into the wiring at The Castle and see what I can find. Everything was working properly when I last checked. I can't wait for the 30th so I can get some new DLC to rip through.

Here's an update that I think changed the power issue as I just battled it. You need to watch your connections and more to the point, the type that you use when feeding power to your loads. I remember reading something about this before and for the most part it wasn't an issue. At least for me and the way I did it up until this last download. Now however it appears that Bethesda tightened this up a bit. Too many wires for feeding your loads coming from a small connection will reduce or cut your power. This makes it tough to detect unless you use the power poles.

Only a couple days before the release and I am looking forward to it.

Sounds like you might need to add a mod to unlock your building cap.  And no, I don't think that switching to concrete will allow more than wood.

Me too. I'm just waiting for the release and then I will bug you again. LOL

Regarding the switching to concrete comment. I watched it very close this time and to me it seems that concrete uses less. The bar moves quick with wood where as concrete moves slower. Maybe it's my eyes too. Who knows. LOL

It's probably your eyes. It happens to all of us old guys sooner or later.

The nice thing about that cap mod that you have is that it isn't tied to or reliant on version.  It works regardless of what version or DLC you have.  Plus it's straightforward and mostly easy to use.

Okay, it's super easy to use.  It's just annoying in the fact that if you have it loaded but don't need to unlock a settlement yet, you have to tell it "not yet" every time (after 24 in game hours) you go to the workbench.    But if you are ready to unlock it, then you can choose how much of a cap you want to unlock.  You can do everything from an additional 10% more capacity to a completely unlimited build cap.

If you are curious Zuhl, here is the mod.    You can either install it manually or use the mod manager to install it.

NOTE:  This mode does not increase the settlement build area, only the build limit/capacity.

Whiskers, how long are you going to ride that fence?

I started the process but now find out that they want money. I'm cheap so I'll pass.

Oh you mean the donation screen when you start a download?  Just ignore that, X the corner and keep going.

I'd like to get to that page but it keeps directing me to the premium page. Click on the download version at the top of the page. After that you have to make an account and log in. Then it's off to the premium page.

How dare you come into my thread and tease me like that. My keyboard is filled with drool.

Nice pics. But I am having a tough time waiting for the release date and you make a lot harder. I tell you there ought to be a law of some sort.   j/k

That first pic is dark and hard to make out. Is that a power armor suit?
