You'll need to change the 'Advanced Graphics' settings to HBAO+ at the startup screen before you hit play after updating your drivers. If you don't the game detects your hardware and makes your settings automatically. if you don't chnage it you won't be able to see your PipBoy screen. I think it set mine to SSAO.

I have no problems with my Pip Boy. It was not affected from the download. Apparently it (knock on wood) didn't bother my setup like it did with others.

I found an Advanced Graphics Setting called "Weapons damage splatter" or something like that. I didn't really notice any difference. I did note that it is not recommended for optimal performance so it must take its toll on your graphics card with a heavier load but mine didn't lose anything by changing the setting. Anyone else notice this?

I've got it enabled in my game.   I can't see any performance hits.  I still pretty much peg things at 60FPS.

Edit: Hang on.  I found "Weapon Debris" but not "Weapon Damage Splatter".   But I have mine set to Ultra.

Grr.  Now I need to go into my .ini file and fix my resolution settings.   Everytime I go into the graphics menu, it forces windowed mode on me.   So I of course turn it off.  Then it kicks my resolution down to 800x600 or something truly horrible like that.

Stupid Bethesda.

And lastly.  My PipBoy seems to be working alright.

Why is your PipBoy white? Mine is green. Ultra-wide monitor too?

I changed the Pip Boy screen to white.

Was playing around with widescreen yesterday to see if most of the bugs have been worked out.  For the most part they have been, though the settlement build menu is still screwed up.   The real downside was that running UWS kicked my FPS in the teeth.  It was a struggle to maintain 30 FPS at that resolution.  So I'm back to a single screen for now.

I'm going to try playing at stock clocks, zero boost, and see how it goes.

Im at stock settings and clocks.  Or I was, I boosted the cards a bit when I was trying to scrape up a few more FPS.

At stock clocks on a single screen it's pretty much 60 FPS non stop.  The storms will cause a dip or 3 to 5 FPS.
