I played yesterday on this PC with GTX-980 in SLI and after about an hour I stopped seeing how many Caps I was picking up in the text message normally in the upper left corner. Game performance was fine except for that. I was playing earlier on my PC with the single GTX-980 ti Classified and didn't notice any kind of lag or stutter like I do with the SLI setup at times but I was only playing for around 20 minutes. The 980 ti is using the older drivers while the 980 SLI is using the newest.

There seems to be something that is common between you, tweaked and myself. We are saying that the problems start(ed) after about an hour of play. I am going in to see if this is true again.

What are your "older drivers"?

368.69, is that too old for you? The other is using them 372.54 drivers. My CPU refuses to downclock. I applied for RMA before my warranty expires next month.

Played last night and didn't have any issues at all.  But then, I can't remember the last time I updated my graphics drivers.

I rarely ever jump on the new drivers, preferring to stick with a known stable one for as long as possible.

I won't jump on any new drivers right away. If my drivers are working I'll stay with them.

When I bought my 980ti I went with new drivers as I do/did with any new card I get.

What driver are you using?

Im running 359.06

Your driver is "slightly" newer than the one that I am currently using and you are having no problems with it?

I used 358.91 for a very long time because newer drivers were problematic for me. I forget which driver finally worked for me. These latest drivers are really decent. I don't measure their performance using benchmarks anymore since the scores went up in one and down in the other. I just see how they perform in whatever game I am fixated on at the time of their release. You might want to blow the dust off of those old drivers and give these a try.

I played for about 6 hours this morning and I did notice a slight issue with the frame rate. A very slight "stutter" was noticeable and I mean slight. It happened twice. Other than that it was smooth.

I will stay at the current driver set and monitor it further.

I get that stutter now and then after playing for a while but it makes no sense since my FPS are only dropping from 72 to 55. It's not like they are dropping below 30 or anything drastic. It stutters for a while, I look at my temps and they are fine at 40°C, I look at my Frames per Second and they are good at around 55 or 56, CPU temp is good at around 45-55°C and then the stutter is gone for the rest of the day.

I have the same luck as you and Ducky when it comes to new drivers and that's why I don't jump on them right away.

When FO 4 first came out I was already running a 770. I figured the 770 would handle FO with no problems. That didn't last long. For me, FO 4 was hard on the 770 and I had to reduce settings or put up with issues. There is a 980ti under the hood now and I am running max settings.

I'll have to look into the "latest and greatest" driver selection and see what the reviews say. But I don't think drivers are going to solve what Bethesda downloaded for FO 4 in that last download. I'll wait and see.

My system is touchy. With V-sync on I stay steady at 60 almost all the time. Depending on the game and where in the game I am located can cause a loss of FPS. When this happens, as little as a 5 FPS reduction and I can see the stuttering take place. It does get annoying. But I must admit that with the 980ti installed FO 4 looks and plays smooth.
