I've had to do a complete reboot to get Origin updates to install and work correctly but never a problem with Steam like that before. I might have rebooted and not remembered. I haven't noticed any stutter or lag. Now and then my FPS drops to 52-54 and it stutters like crazy. I don't remember when that started but it seems to have gone away for a while, I hope. BTW, there were some new drivers released last night. I haven't tried them yet so I have no 'official' opinion yet. Some are getting newer Vulkan drivers for DOOM and others are not. Another mystery from nVidia.

Hey, whiskers54, Green Man Gaming has Fallout: New Vegas for $9.99 as a download for PC. Is it worth it? Nuka-World DLC should be here on Aug 30, two more weeks.

Absolutely is it worth it, as long as it has all the DLC's included.   And the NV DLC's isn't this workshop, contraption, gadget crap that we got with Fallout 4.  These are real DLC's that add (mostly) to the story and playtime.

Even at 19.99 (with DLC) it's worth it.

WhiskeryDude:  The only time I am seeing lag is during certain weapon swaps.    There's always been a little lag there while using custom and/or modded weapons, but after that last "update" it's gone to the extreme.  Like, 5-10 seconds before my weapon "loads" and is in my hands.   And it's not every time I swap weapons.  Just the first couple of times.    Beyond that, I am not seeing much lag anywhere else.

Tweaked: Ended up in a rad storm and noticed a 3-5 FPS drop. 60 to 57ish that would fluctuate.  That wasnt a particularly intense storm.  I keep forgetting to check FPS in the really nasty storms.

I guess the $9.99 was the Basic edition. Ultimate edition is $17.99 at GMG and $19.99 at Steam. https://www.greenmangamin...egas-ultimate-edition/

I loved FO:NV. Fallout 3 was good too but I seemed to have more technical difficulties with 3 than with New Vegas. Totally worth it. You could actually get a totally different ending based on your choices. Fallout 4 does technically have different endings but they all seem pretty much the same.

Yeah, Fallout 3 was buggy as hell unless you changed your INF file to use only 1 Core. Plus my weapons kept breaking and you could never get them back to 'new' condition. I spent more time creating 'Saves' in Fallout 3 so I wouldn't lose my progress than I did actually playing the story line.

My personal opinion, I think it is worth the 9.99. I liked the game but just haven't finished it yet. If you liked FO 3 then this is close to it. Cheap entertainment.

I'm debating it. Ultimate version with all DLC included for only $17.99 ain't bad but it is getting a little boring. The way everything else is going in a backwards direction the next release will be called "Fallout: Caveman" or something.

Even if there is no DLC being offered with FO: Las Vegas, it's still worth the 9.99. I can't speak about the DLC (which I do have) as I have not played any of that yet. I would also agree with you regarding the 19.99 price tag with all the DLC included. It's cheap entertainment either route.

I am not seeing any more lag at the moment but I have not played since yesterday and that was fine. Everything seems to be at the same point as it was pre download.
