The road to freedom was pretty cool. I wish they had more of those type of quests that involve a little more brain work.

I'm going to start moving my companions to The Castle so I can blow up the BOS airship. That should put a smile on my face anyway.

I set up a lot of those sensors for Tinker Tom. Those quests suddenly just stopped but he has more of them in his inventory. He must be giving me some time off for R&R.

sensors?

Yeah, they're named MILA and used to monitor changes to the environment. Tinker Tom is convinced that The Institute is manipulating the environment and atmospheric conditions for some reason. MILA units need to be placed on top of a building or other high areas.

I tried using the laser sensors to open a door, and to set the timing by 3 seconds so the door would close without closing right after I hit the sensor. The problem though is the sensor does not reset itself. How do I do that to make it so it resets?

Is this something in the new workshop? I haven't seen or tried it yet.

go to your power items, under switches, you will see the laser switch towards the end of the selections. There are 2 of them available, 1 shorter sensor, and then a longer one, which covers any door way. They will have 2 endings, and then will show an orange/pink laser going to both ends. Those are the sensors.

if you're able to figure out how to make the sensor reset once you pass through it to open the door, please let me know.

I should be a little more specific. There is a little button that you can physically press to reset the sensor. Anyone can figure that out, but I'm talking about having the switch automatically reset by another switch. That's what I want.

I would run it through an on/off switch between the sensor and the generator. Cycling the power off and then back on should reset it. I'll give it a try later today. I didn't know anything about it until you mentioned it here.

I'll give that a try and see too, as I already have something similar set up anyway.

I took the on/off switch as a way to make a device to sporadically turn on & off. So, that's why I didn't try it. description obviously was very confusing.
