How do you go at war with a faction?

Apparently it is pretty easy to be at war with The Railroad if you get Desdemona upset. I could take them on and win against them hands down but I am afraid of losing Deacon as a companion. I have him running supplies right now and can hook up with him again later. Piper is getting on my nerves. She is always walking into my line of fire and I usually end up damaging her Power Armor. I think it's time to give MacReady a shot at least until I get my special 'perk' from him. Preston still wants to have that 'Special liitle talk' with me and I have no idea where he is going with it but I get scared at seeing that 'Romance' option in the dialogue menu in bright red letters. IDK what romancing Preston is going to do for me besides make me want to puke. Maybe I'll see what happens later and hope I don't lose a perfectly good lunch. LOL

You haven't done that yet? I told you to do that. You'll like him. Totally laid back. He might try and demand you give him a cigarette, but it's not like he's a total buzz killer and gets all angry because you took on a quest. I kicked preston over at the Island. I can say that Preston doesn't really want to "romance" me. Maybe he sees that i'm already taken by Cait. I should send her over to the Island; with her shotgun skillz she doesn't will keep the place well kept.
 
Giving Cait an automatic shotgun sounds so "MIND BLOWING"

Have you done any of the BOS missions that require you to take a kid on a mission? 450 XP was for the second mission. I forgot what the first one was.

I'm doing the Corser (sp) mission right now. That "thing" is mowing right through those Gunners like a lawnmower through grass. I don't know what he is using for a weapon but it sure makes a lot of noise.

PAM just gave me a mission to wipe out a BOS patrol. IDK if I want that one. That will bring the whole BOS down on my Minutemen. Maybe if I use the Mini Nuke Mini-gun from a distance I can pull it off and they won't know what hit them. LOL

I was on my way to a mission when I came across a gun battle. Raiders VS unknown. I opened up on the Raiders and taking them down quickly when a BOS came in line of fire. He went down but I didn't get any warning that I took the BOS down. I wasn't going to chance it and reloaded.
 
If PAM gave you a mission, you won't get another one from her until you complete the current one.

Did you ever get your stuck mission figured out? 

Stuck mission is still stuck. I got a radio message about Warwick Homestead being under attack and when I got there the guy I was supposed to talk to was stuck inside of a tank. I couldn't talk to him so the mission failed. I got a feeling that something went haywire with the game. I'd better load a save and find out.

Were you doing any mods at the time this happened? Based on my experience with a situation like that I have never received a fail for that mission. In fact, I had one that I didn't go back and speak with Preston for a long time and it self canceled but awarded me the XP for that mission.
 
In one of my settlements, (forgot the name) it's along the river and when I sent provisioners to it they both got stuck on a building roof along side some boulders that provided a small path to it. Finally, after trying to move them I created a concrete floor and bridged the gap between roof and boulder. They immediately left. Left the floor there just in case. LOL  Idiots!
