BOS are the only ones giving me anything to do. I didn't choose them they chose me. I almost feel like I've been drafted similar to the Viet Nam era policy. Preston just wants to have some weird 'little talk' with me but that option to 'Romance' is scaring me. I feel like dumping Piper the next time I see Deacon but I need to get my Power Armor back from her first. Maybe with Deacon I can get some Railroad work again.

Did you keep the facility intact? That might be the reason, because the minutemen do not like them. The railroad as well, do not like them.

BOS is more of the "mercenaries", and if someone has the money, and want them to do something, they'll do it with no questions asked. So, I could see the institute paying BOS under the table to let them be.

I built my portal on Spectacle Island with Tinker Tom from the Railroad. I was an isolated unpopulated area and I didn't want to put any of my settlements in any danger. I guess it's time to blow something up. After I shoot 'Father' I'll need to get someone to show me how to unlock the sewer pipe into the Institute basement so I can place the explosives. I think Deacon or Desdemona can do this for me. I'll make a save in case I change my mind. LOL

Which ending did you choose? I'd really hate to put the BOS in charge of everything instead of the Minutemen.

I went full speed with the minutemen basically. Saw "Father", interrupted his speech and shot him in the head. That was it. Left my kid behind, went to the roof top, and blew it up. Case closed. I can't recall right now who the tech guy is at Sanctuary who helps me open the portal to get to the facility, but honestly, when he questioned my actions about leaving my kid behind, I wanted to leave him behind also.

Another note, BOS has an attitude problem, and every time I go to them they rub in the fact I chose the minutemen over them. Whenever they do that, I just want to shoot them in the face. They're not Boss, I'm the boss.

Hmmm... I am right near the end but my understanding of what was happening is a little different with the story. My interest is peaked.... I need to see what's really going on at the institute. I made a save right when I need to make a choice of what group to help me build the tele-porter so I can see all the different ways this plays out.

The Institute. Did you blow it up, or did you keep it intact?

It's still there. I am supposed to inspect my quarters there and supposedly a Courser meets me but he never shows up. Maybe I'll just let 'Father' have it with my Alien Blaster and get it over with.

Not sure why the courser is not showing up, but with the institute intact and you not blowing it up might be why the minutemen and the underground railroad want nothing to do with you. I'm surprised that Preston even allows you to flurt with him...

The railroad hates the institute, and the minutemen hate them just as much, but the minutemen are not doing it in secrecy. It makes total sense why the BOS would be the only ones giving you missions. For me, it makes sense now why the BOS are mad at me for not taking them, and the minutemen praise me for it. I don't hear much from the underground railroad, though, but I know they're happy as can be about it.

I did a massive Synth rescue mission for the Railroad where I had to kill all of the Synth guards in the basement to let the Synths seeking help escaping could dig a tunnel out of there. I think that was the last RR mission I got. There was another mission with a Railroad insider in the Institute that disappeared. IDK what happened with that mission to rescue 13 Synths.

All the main quests seem to make you a huge a-hole. "Kill hundreds, if not, thousands of people (and "people") to free about 30." Something is just off here...
