I keep saying that Im done with companions. But then I gather up another pile of junk that I need help with. So I keep letting them tag along.
I think the least annoying are Deacon, MacReady and Preston. Inasmuch as they prefer long guns and have less of a tendency to run in front of you duing a pitched battle.
I haven't tried the three companions that you mentioned yet. With Cait, so far there were only a couple of times that she jumped in front of me shaking her item that she jumps you about for looking at and I did shoot it err I mean her. LOL I can't complain too loudly as I have had worse in previous Bethesda games.
I don't know if it's worse, but it's certainly pretty much the same.
I think I'll try giving Piper a long gun and see how that works. Unfortunately, Im currently working with Codsworth and well... It's a good thing followers are essential in Fallout 4. Though I have to admit, he pretty much holds his own in most cases.
Last night I got so involved in updating mods and redocorating my workshop that I forgot to poke around and take a look at what the latest DLC brought. I do know that some of the things it introduced I've have for awhile now, but there are other things that will be new. Like the traps. I'm going to add a trap to the entrance of my workshop, keep those nosy settlers out of my stuff.
