Time to verify my cache again. I'm traveling with Hancock and he fell off a roof and just sat there. I had to load a previous save from before his 'accident'. There was no option to Stimpack him. Just had my first crash to Desktop in over a month. It was a good thing too because I failed to save Kent who was being beaten by Raiders at Milton Hospital. Either way those Raiders are history.

Who's Kent?
I remember a radio guy that was being held but I forgot his name.

I think Kent is the Silver Shadow Radio guy.

Wasn't there a change to the power armor that would make it more intimidating to lower level bad guys?   I know I read about it somewhere but can't remember if it was in one of the patches or one of my mods.

Did the first of the Minuteman mission in clearing out the Corvega plant.  First I snuck around outside and cleared the scaffolding off.  Then jumped back to Sanctuary to grab my power armor and went to clear the interior.   Most of the raider in there screamed and ran away.   Had to chase them down so I could club them to death with the pipe wrench Big Jim.   Overall, we had an enjoyable time, despite the fact the Piper would take off on her own and engage in unwinnable firefights with turrets.

There is a Minuteman paint scheme I just found you can add to your Power Armor that increases Charisma. I haven't tried to snooker anyone with it yet. It might come in handy some day when I am negotiating prices with a Vendor.

When I am done, I may go back and try survival mode. Sounds like a whole new game. I think it would be cool if the game did let you sleep when enemies are around and you have a chance of them finding you and doing their own sneak damage. It would also be cool to see a progressive weight/walking system instead of when you are .5 over and then you go from a sprint to a crawl.

I'm getting bored so I think it's about time I started a war and rub out some of the other factions like The Institute and BOS. I gotta clear the playing field a little.

turn on Survival. It's a new experience; you're no longer "god", and healing takes time. So, you have to run and hide behind objects until your health gets back up. I noticed more that I have to switch between weapons to take out enemies. I have to avoid flame throws. Enemy NPCs that have sniper rifles I have to avoid as well, and have to go around them to take them out. I have to use more of Buffout and Psycho with mentats more, while using the extra foods and stimpacks. Using stimpacks alone is not enough to take out enemies on survival mode, and I can't run full blitz at the enemy and be tank while taking all the damage. Then again, my character is made to do full damage, and is not a meat shield. Using Jet is a huge bonus in survival mode. If you start out a new character on survival mode, good luck.

And of course, you will have to ultimately continue to avoid any enemy NPC carrying a fat-man.
Never let a super mutant carrying a mini nuke hit you. You'll have to load the latest save.
Never let a grenade hit you, you may just die, resulting in the latest save.
Avoid taking on a turret firing at you. They can rip you apart, and you will be loading the latest save.
Avoid a super mutant with a mini gun. They'll cut through you like Jello, and... you'll be loading the latest save.

Bottom line, it takes a little more strategy and tactics to be used in a gun fight. Not to mention, the extra legendary NPCs, with the constant legendary items and armor being dropped

I ran into that giant super mutant that has a kart on the back of him. VATS with my sniper rifle barely put a dent in him. Grenades slightly took care of the issue, but it was the shotgun that did most, while in VATS. I had to run off into a building and hide, fortunately a group of brotherhood in a chopper were flying around, and distracted him before i could get the last couple shots off.

The drive in theater settlement... I could not understand why that little pond in the middle was giving off radiation. Well I did, but I could not figure out how to fix it. I finally realized yesterday that I could destroy the radiation barrels. How stupid I felt . I'm designing a base which is built around the pond. Built a water pump which gives 40 points to your water source. It's looking awesome.
