Is there any other benefit to these shrouds or is it simply a cosmetic makeover complete with LED? (ie. better thermal materials or airflow design?)
Also does the plate just state "EVGA Hybrid" or are they custom per card ie. would it state "EVGA Hybrid Titan-X/980ti/980"?

I don't know about better materials, but the Shroud is unified for all cards (980/Ti/TitanX) so just "EVGA Hybrid" :) it is good for people who for example have a TitanX but a 980 Hybrid kit, this way it is not confusing anyone anymore :)

Thanks.  I figured it was a standardised logo.  Great for people who had to buy mismatched shrouds in the first place but I kinda like having "980ti Hybrid" on my card.  Still, it's not like I can really see it when it points face down... inside a case... behind my desk :D

I really like the silver-ish color rather than the golden on the 980Ti, it totally kills my black/white color scheme. Maybe I will even plasti-dip the silver parts to white :)

To the Aussies in the thread I emailed Evga and they basically gave me the terms and conditions stating that they will not ship to post forwarding companies . this to me in new Zealand is obviously very dissapointing, I honestly didn't think I was asking much for evga to mail this to a company in USA so the company can then mail to me, I know terms are terms but its a free promotional product, surely this one time due to the product being free we can bend the rules? Really upsetting that a technicality is stopping me and many others who chose to go with evga over others from taking part in this promotion.

Technically it is possible, but you will have open holes on the side where the hoses would be.

i missed my opportunity to pick up a 980 kit, but i could now get a 980ti kit and get this shroud

Go to order history, find your order, click the "Printer Friendly Invoice" button in the top right, screenshot and save the image. Crop everything that isn't the invoice, and upload. They accept the invoice immediately.

Jacob, could you upload a photo with the LED shining? That'd be awesome! Thank you for the upgrade :)
