I already have one fitted to my 980ti hybrid , but now have a standard 980ti and wanted to fit one to that so it matches ...even though its not a hybrid ....but will fit as asked them ( they never thought of doing what i want to do lol ) ...but said good idea lol
Only other thing i can do if remove shroud and sand down the green logo till the white comes through ( on youtube ) ...but guessing in invalidate the warranty ?



you would need to upgrade your case, but what about getting a hybrid kit for the bottom card. move that 240mm to the top of the case. move the bottom gpu rad to the front of the case (thats my 980ti sli hybrid setup) with a h100i up top.
 
out of curiosity, is your gpu rad intake or exhaust? what temps does it get to when under load? my top gpu, when setup as exhaust, was hitting high 70's. but as intake it dropped to mid-high 60's. the actual card, rad and tubes were getting really hot to the touch as well.
 
i cant help but think something was almost wrong with it.

i cannot move my 240 mm rad as there is no top mount for it ...its an inwin 805 case and don't really want to change it lol ...would love to fit hybrid kit to my second card ...just no room for rad lol.
My GPU rad is exhausting out the back ...and cannot remember what the temps were under load ...think my hybrid was hitting 60 i think and the non hybrid about 80 ...not 100% sure now as tested it a while back and actually had a chat with someone at evga and they said my temps were normal ...for both cards.
Im running 4k games at max without any issues.

Those temps seem very normal. i feel like mine are high for having 2 hybrids. i had a 295x2 before, and a single 120mm rad kept both 290 GPU's pretty cool (high 60's if i remember correctly). i am very confused why both the 980ti's arent 60 or below, even under load. i even RMA's one of the coolers, but my cards still run pretty hot (even the rad, tubes and back plate get very hot to the touch).

guessing you have enough airflow into the case ?
I would try contacting evga ...i did an online chat with a guy in the states who was very helpfully ...chatted for ages about pc's in general too lol.

maybe i will chat when i have some free time. i am pretty sure i have enough airflow. its a midtower case. 2 fans on top (h100i exhaust). rear fan is gpu intake. side fan is intake. 1 front gpu is exhaust (i think, i cant remember if i set this as intake or exhaust), 1 front is intake.
 
i know its seems a bit weird. but its given me the best numbers so far. all 6 fans are noctuas. either nf-f12 or s12a depending if on a rad or not. 

my cpu cooler draws air in from the bottom of my case through a chamber at front , and only other fan it the gpu cooler which exhausts out the back of case ....ow plus the 2 small fans on gpu which exhaust out back ..and ive heard this case has bad airflow ...but i dont seem to get any issues.

Do both cards get hot or just the one ? if both then surely not a card / cooler issue ?

the top one is worse, but both are definitely more hot then i would think. 

i would expect the top card to be hotter as heat rises from card below.

I'm willing to trade shrouds if anybody with the old 980 Ti Hybrid is interested in getting the new shroud. The newer cards are being shipped with the new shrouds, but I wanted the old copper shroud and I missed out on it. So, once my card comes in I'd be willing to trade my shroud with someone who has the old one and wants the new one and lives in the US. I don't want to spend a whole lot on shipping the thing lol.

Did you get any trade offers?  I've got the old copper shroud and was looking to trade.  Had some black and red 970s in my case before along with a lot of other black and red.  So the copper isn't as close a match as I would like.  Black and silver is closer!  Unfortunately it looks like I can't PM at the moment.
