Well the promotion is officially over according to EVGA Faceoff  as of 30-40 minutes ago.
After explaining to the customer service that it wasn't posted in a timely fashion that resulted me opening up the 2 box to register the SN# only to be notified Promotion is Closed last night.
 
Also I found out that the SN# is on the side of the Black Box.... therefore I will have to cough up 210.00 restocking fees to NEW EGG to return the product.
What an idiot!!!
Hopefully they may sell the shroud later, who knows, that will tempt me to keep them, they sure look ugly comparing to my 2 980ti classified.

Yeah, this sucks. I bought my cards on Oct 12th but due to work I haven't been home in over 2 weeks, so I just got a chance to register my card and was going to sign up for the new shroud and find out it's closed. Hopefully Jacob can stop by and tell us whether they will reopen it or what the deal is.

I for one complained, due to the fact that EVGA Face Off webpage was not timely display the Promotion is no longer offer, I found out after I had registered my 2 hybrids and called them and the person who assisted me check and said he was not aware, and to check back.
I checked and double checked their web page prior to registering, and they failed to update it in a timely fashion bottom line.
However, I'm over it now because sooner or later they will sale the shroud to replace the fugly stock one, but the fact still applied they fail to post it till the very next mid-day.
Yet, I feel for Stick435 not able to get it in on time, who knows he might have been serving the country for that matter and was unable to be home to register his product.
And if people want to express their disappointment SO BE IT. It's a free country last I checked.

Apparently, they are going to mess around with me as well.  Registered my card two days ago.  Now the status says "promotion closed."  Of course there won't be any email explaining anything or apologizing for why they wasted my time (I did get the email saying to await further instructions).  If this is the case, they lost a long time customer as this is probably my fourth EVGA card (I can still return this card no questions asked)... but I have little patience for companies who act this way.

Aw man... I just ordered a 980Ti hybrid yesterday and I guess I missed out on this... This is gonna be my first high-end EVGA card. I had an EVGA 750SC that I got for PhysX, but I gave that to my buddy since he was using on-board Intel.
 
I don't suppose there's any chance of me getting in on this shroud action somehow...?

If you missed out on the promo they're also going to be selling the shroud on their store as well I believe.

They did apologized from the customer service personnel to the manager (miscommunication) he claimed, however it's not the customer service people's fault I hold the higher up accountable, I also ask that in the future use a real time program to update their count against their free stuff inventory, and to properly to update their webpage accordingly.
 
I told them it was misleading to offer free stuff yet zero in stock, sure you can return the items (unopened) and so forth but the end of the day that dude in charge of the Promotion DROP THE BALL!
 
Just wait till they sell them online or return them.
 
I'm just raising the issue to EVGA so they can be aware of what happened and not to repeat, we are all consumer we should stick together I say.
