My only beef is the store should have some sort of locking or reservation logic if you will. (3 or 5 minutes) grace period.
(1) Customer adds the product(s) to the shopping cart.
(2) Customer clicks on the "Checkout" button. At this point the store should at least give 3 or 5 minutes grace period to the buyer so it can finalize the transaction.
I personally did not have a good experience last night. I get it, other people were faster than me. I get that!
The part that honestly rubbed me the wrong way is the part where I added the card and clicked on confirm checkout button and I got charged $1 for CC verification. At this point it's all good however seconds later I get the "The Item is out of stock". I honestly feel I should have been given the benefit of having the selected product reserved until the transaction is finalized.
This is the same of me going to Best Buy, grabbing a product where only 5 items were left on the shelf, I go to the cashier to pay the item but at the very moment I'm giving my credit card to the clerk, someone comes from behind and snags my item and takes it to another cashier.
